Much respect to you woody for keeping this going. I think it will be a hard job to pull it round, simply because of the prices, as you pointed out right at the top of the thread.

I’m actually a bit surprised just how badly some of these short-priced horses have done! :o
Maybe i’ve inadvertantly stumbled upon a short price LAYING system? :biggrin:
I’m going to carry on recording these into the Flat season to see how that goes but will probably knock it on the head in a couple of weeks.

Yes the laying thought did occur to me too, but although I do occasionally lay, I’m still not totally comfortable with the choice of varying the stake according to price, or level stake laying.
I suppose it’s just the other side of the coin to the age old argument of level stake or variable stake backing. In fairness perhaps I haven’t given either a fair chance, as the first thing I generally look for is something to back! :biggrin:
