Cheers Arazi great idea. Not being a youtube follower I never knew you could get all these old races to watch again.
Many thanks for puting me in that direction – keep them coming.
Anybody put me in the direction when Ireland’s King of Kings dethroned French champion Xaar to land a first British classic for trainer Aidan O’Brien in the Sagitta 2000 please.

Thanks very much for all this, some wonderful horses and races.
The 1996 Champion Chase won by Klairon Davis is a particular favourite: a heart-stopping sprint with Viking Flagship and Sound Man over the last few fences, culminating in that tremendous ‘three in a line’ final fence.
Any footage of Wayward Lad?

Blimey, not half. I’d forgotten just how good a weight-carrying performance that was! A conspicuously bad race for fatalities, though, with Avonburn, Latent Talent and Roxton Hill all perishing, and I certainly remember some animal activist types making huge capital out of it in the student union building the following day.
I digress. This continues to be an absolutely terrific thread, Arazi, pregnant with fantastic footage and memories. More if you’ve got any, please!

December 7, 2007 at 23:58 #129448Thanks Arazi everyone of them a pleasure to watch especially Istabraq who was my final big punt before retiring to Asia,,,,,,what a performnce to make it 4 out 4 at Cheltenham.
Think you must have posted more races up in a few weeks than those ***** at the BBC have ever done..if indeed they have or will ever let us see any of the old races they are hoarding.
December 13, 2007 at 21:41 #130413The best four 2m Chasers that I have seen are Remittance Man, Moscow Flyer, Azertyuiop & Well Chief. Here are a few races they won or raced in. I’m sure the majority will be interested in the races involving MF, Azerty & WC but anyone who remembers RM should enjoy the Clips of him. The 2004 Arkle Chase, 2004 Champion Chase, 2004 Tingle Creek & 2005 Champion Chase were put on Youtube by other people but I’ve linked them here as well so that you see all of the main races involving the big three. All of the clips here that I have put on Youtube only have the closing stages of each race.

Thanks again for all your efforts posting these.
Regards,
Chris.
December 14, 2007 at 03:12 #130448Isio’s 2004 Victor Chandler win was brilliant! Never thought he’d beat Azertyuiop just after the last jump!
December 14, 2007 at 04:11 #130450Doesn’t really tell the story of the race. Azertyuiop was carrying 11-12, with Isio on 10-10 I believe.
Oh
December 14, 2007 at 07:20 #130458I thought I read it was this coming year they were hoping to have him back and that his target is a race at Newbury. Still a long way off to tell if he will be ok or not.
