Over the years I’ve assembled quite a large collection of horse racing on video and I’m starting to put some of it onto YouTube. My collection consists mainly of racing in the 90’s although I do have some from 1989 and 2000. I have flat racing and national hunt so hopefully there should be something of interest for everyone.
The stuff I have from 1989 and 1990 is all flat racing but from 1991 onwards I have National Hunt as well. Here’s the first few I’ve uploaded.
steve Cauthen & Willie Carson[/url:2y0m2354]
This is Steve Cauthen and Willie Carson discussing Nashwan and Old Vic.
A look back to the milers of 1989 like Zilzal, Polish Precedent and Distant Relative. It brings back how good Zilzal was for the brief time he was around.
For those of you who remember Warning. This is a short clip of him winning a few big races.

I know it’s before the years you say you have got footage for, but have you got Zafonic’s 2,000 Guineas win please.
All the best,
Mike

1993 2,000 Guineas – Zafonic[/url:2ewl45pn]
Apologies for the poor visal quality of the race, the video it’s on is old and knackerd!
Pure brilliance from Zafonic on this day.
Nashwan – An Appraisal[/url:2ewl45pn]
A look back at what Nashwan achieved in 1989.
October 18, 2007 at 20:32 #120344Zafonic was pretty impressive – I’ve never seen that race before.
October 18, 2007 at 20:41 #120345I have never seen the Arazi footage in the Breeders Cup J race. Could anyone show it for me? I hear it was incedible. Thank you if you can help.

Another classic Tom Durkin commentary too.
October 19, 2007 at 10:24 #120411Here’s a golden oldie to warm the cockles of your heart.
One of the greatest head to heads in racing history.

Gambling Only Pays When You're Winning
October 19, 2007 at 10:29 #120413Durkan’s best commentary has to be the filly and mare one year when Gary Steven’s wins on an outsider, ‘He’s committed a felony, and we’ve got it on tape.’
October 19, 2007 at 11:15 #120429great stuff!

October 19, 2007 at 18:44 #120490The 1990 Milers[/url:1rr12yge]
A look back at the 1990 milers including Distant Relative, Markofdistinction & Priolo. Plus, of course, Royal Academy winning the Breeders Cup mile.
Salsabil – An Appraisal Part 1[/url:1rr12yge]
Salsabil – An Appraisal Part 2[/url:1rr12yge]These two shows all of Salsabil’s victories in 1990, plus her one defeat in the Arc. It also includes a clip of the Derby (Quest For Fame) & the King George (Belmez).
Dayjur – King of the Sprinters Part 1[/url:1rr12yge]
Dayjur – King of the Sprinters Part 2[/url:1rr12yge]These two show what Dayjur achieved in the 1990 season. If you enjoy watching top class spinters then you must watch these to see the best of all. A true superstar and the best flat horse I’ve seen.
October 20, 2007 at 09:13 #120574Generous & Suave Dancer Part 1[/url:frlm34wi]
Generous & Suave Dancer Part 2[/url:frlm34wi]This shows all of the main races that Generous & Suave Dancer were involved in in 1991. Both horses were superb. I have to say I think Generous winning the King George is one of the most impressive winning performances I have seen.
1991 milers part 1[/url:frlm34wi]
1991 milers part 2[/url:frlm34wi]A look back at the 1991 milers including Selkirk, Second Set, Marju & Shadiyid.

1992 Sun Alliance Novice Hurdle – Thetford Forest[/url:1iycbp30]
1992 Sun Alliance Novice Chase – Miinnehoma[/url:1iycbp30]The viewing quality on a few of these races is a little bit iffy, the video’s they are on are old and a few of them end abrubtly on the line or just before it.
Remittance Man is my favourite national hunt horse so I never get tired of watching his victories. The 1992 Champion Chase is one of the best races I’ve watched.
October 22, 2007 at 11:52 #120898Anybody got any of Kribensis winning the Triumph or Champion, my videos have been wiped, would like top see them after his sad death.
