Kieran Fallon rode this horse to win the 2000 gns five years ago and was possibly looking forward to riding one of his progeny – the amusingly named startright over ten furlongs this evening at Goodwood (7.55). It has been withrawn alongside the probable favourite Soul Station another interesting name for Fallon to ponder and Goodwoood is all the poorer for the lack of re-match between these young geldings. Fallon has one possible ride remaining in the next race.
I presume Fallon who comes from county Clare will be supporting Northern Ireland who play the Czech Republic tonight at the Lion stadium at the interesting time of 7.45pm. The problem is at exactly 8.30pm Kieran will possibly be doing the Kakapuka and will miss Ireland almost scoring.
