List them!!!
From the obvious to the up-and-comers to the handicappers, the Classic contenders and the juveniles. It doesn’t matter – if we can look back on this thread after Champions Day and recognise grandiose winners of the past season that we made aware of now, we can all be proud of our own knowledge.
This is the TRF’s "Timeform" book. Fire away.
And don’t be looking to me for the big list, either!
All I can add is:

Not telling you mine tho’.

March 19, 2008 at 08:35 #152503You’re a disgrace.
I’ll assume Washington Irving and William Hogarth are both simply slouches.
March 19, 2008 at 09:17 #152511Mark Johnston’s Planetarium looks to have got in handicaps lightly from a mark of 88. Sure to be suited by a mile and a half, he’s the first of about ten from the stable that I’ll fancy at some point before June for the King George V Handicap.
I was really taken with Red Dune’s debut in a Doncaster maiden behind Cruel Sea last year. She showed plenty of ability racing up with the pace nut looked and ran as if very much in need of the outing. She cost a few quid and is out of a daughter of Hellenic and is only of of 2 entries that Michael Jarvis has in the One Thousand Guineas.
March 19, 2008 at 11:04 #152532It’s a bit ‘after the Lord Mayor’s Show’ isn’t it? The Flat season….
March 19, 2008 at 17:57 #152628Looking forward to seeing Literato hopefully progress further for Godawful this year- hard to beat over 10f with an ease, I reckon…
March 19, 2008 at 18:02 #152631Anyone know what happened to Jarvis’ ROYALIST (IRE), who shaped better than anything in a Goodwood maiden in the summer that contained a number that went on to be useful but was not himself seen again?
March 19, 2008 at 18:21 #152635Amazing Star (IRE) – M Halford
An interesting colt for handicaps, that will improve for a step up to 8F and should get 10f.Atlantic Sport (USA) – M Channon
Impressed plenty 1st up and prepared to forgive the run in the Champagne Stakes.Choose Your Moment (GB) – P C Haslam
Expected to improve as a 3yo, apple of trainer’s eye.Henrythenavigator (USA) – A P O’Brien
Bit of a soft spot for this one and haven’t given up just yet, will probably be my cliff horse this year.Natagora (FR) – P Bary
Probably the most visually impressive of all for me last year, had doubts about her getting the mile in may but the trainer doesn’t so that’ll do me.Queen of Naples (GB) – J H M Gosden
Am told pedigree and conformation scream out that she will make a good 3yo.Wolgan Valley (USA) – Saeed Bin Suroor
Amazed he did not get his head in front last term, hopefully he comes back to these shores.A selection of the three year olds from my list. I have plenty of unraced horses I’m sifting through from this age group as well as starting on the 2yo’s for ’08.
Will post these along with some older horses if there is any interest.Regards,
Jason.March 19, 2008 at 20:30 #152675I like SENSE OF JOY for the 1,000 Guineas. Extremely impressed by her debut and managed to win at Goodwood second time despite not liking the track and needing further.
SCREEN STAR is another full of promise after winning her maiden at Redcar by eleven lenghts.
TWICE OVER has somehow been awarded a mark of 94. If he doesn’t prove a stone better than that i’ll a Frenchman. My idea of a Derby contender.
J’aime OMNICAT parce qu’il a couru une course de début ridicule et est juste un de ces types fous que j’ai un endroit doux pour
March 19, 2008 at 20:32 #152676Surely Cecil will be tempted to swerve the Derby and aim Twice Over at something like the Magnet Cup with that sort of mark.

It’s a shame Sir Mark didn’t train him or he’d start the season on a mark of 54
March 20, 2008 at 00:56 #152729Surely the world is gonna be waiting for MALT OR MASH…
March 20, 2008 at 10:53 #152787I’ve heard a whisper for KENSINGTON OVAL, unraced 3 year old for Michael Stoute and full brother to Ask.
