Just watched Tuesday’s race on Youtube. Search Flaggmembers and enjoy this great spectacle. Nothing much in the way of a close finish and a bunch of hunters, but clearly having a bit of mad fun. Harks back to the original point of point to pointing, from one point to another. No flags at Flagg so the opportunity for short cuts through gaps is well taken.

    Great stuff.

I’ve been to Flagg many times – their members race is unique!! Some years ago there used to be 2 races – one for the High Peak members and one for the N E Cheshire Drag members. Quite alot of runners too. Sadly on Tuesday only 5 turned out – spirited contest for 4th/5th tho’!!!

    Enjoyable.

On the PTP subject perhaps one of you can tell me what is probably a blindingly obvious piece of information.

Im looking at the Irish fixtures to see if i can get along to one out of interest and after each fixture there are brackets either with (F), (H) or (S)

    What do these indicate?

Just a guess – I’m thinking F Foxhounds H Harriers – can’t find a S example and that wouldn’t fit with my suggestion anyway! Sorry – not much help – would be interested to know!

I think you will find that S is for staghounds.

Didn’t know they had Staghounds in Ireland – so that’s why I didnt suggest that’s what the "S" stood for – all sorted the?

Had H F and S confirmed as we thought with an email reply from Irish Pt-to-pt site.
