The Hill will be falling over from the number of whiskies he’s had while waiting for The New Lion to finish.
November 28, 2025 at 20:13 #1745855Will the hill even jump a hurdle , let’s face it he looks terrified of them …
November 28, 2025 at 20:14 #1745856….. I swear if the Lion wins on the snaff I’ll keep this thread going to the Champion hurdle
November 28, 2025 at 20:15 #1745857R.I.P. this thread circa 2:05 tomorrow.
November 28, 2025 at 20:30 #1745862I believe this the hills new hurdling technique …I
November 28, 2025 at 21:29 #1745867Backed The New Lion at 15/8 WIN and had a small EW play on Nemean Lion at 66/1.
November 28, 2025 at 21:41 #1745870Quite frankly I am thinking we just might learn more about The New Lion (is he effective dropping back in trip) and Anzadam (will his jumping technique let him down) than CH in this race.
It will be most interesting to see what Nico does tactically, one would think that he is going to have to do his own donkey work unless Nemean (The Other Lion) decides to do him a solid, as the other two (along with Golden Ace) are really hold up horses. I think he is going to have to make it a decent gallop because if they play silly buggers and it turns into a tactical burn up up the home straight, I think that might suit Anzadam who’s fitness might be found out if they go an end to end gallop (some of Mullins have needed their first runs).
Unless we throw all that out the window and we get another Champion Hurdle type scenario with CH falling bringing down the Lion (the New one) and Anzadam leaving Golden Ace to pick up the pieces to take another G1 win
November 28, 2025 at 21:44 #1745871It was quite funny earlier today on SSR when Matt Chapman was trying to talk up Anzadam, then asked Misery McCoy what he thought and he replied that he couldn’t care less about the horse.
November 28, 2025 at 22:05 #1745875I think Anzadam is a pretty bad price at around 2/1 or 9/4. Should be 4/1, imo and the other two around 6/4. Both of his Irish wins are of no substance, his career in France never took him to Auteuil, I think he is overrated.
November 29, 2025 at 05:24 #1745899It’s the fact Mullins that is throwing him in here isn’t it
November 29, 2025 at 09:12 #1745915Im with Glad on this,
The new lion is a horrendous price, has absolutely no chance in this, more likely to end up in the stayers than the champion hurdle,
If CH can reproduce what he was about to behind lossiemouth at aintree then that will be enough to win this assuming anzadam isnt a freak whch his hurdling technique sais he probably isnt,
Backed CH yesterday at 15/8, will save on anzadam
Should be fairly straightforward
Maybe im slightly biased as id love nothing more for the skeltons than TNL to be beaten out of sight, how hes still allowed to go on is beyond me
November 29, 2025 at 10:16 #1745926Another one just to watch for me, but I sincerely hope this isn’t the last time we see the top four line up against each other this season.
I’m hoping to see Constitution Hill bounce back, but equally hope the rest aren’t beaten out of sight. We need these top horses to take each other on more than just “when it matters”.
November 29, 2025 at 10:22 #1745927McCoy couldn’t care less about Anzadam because he’s tied to everything JP

Nothing like having a non bias opinion, eh …

The more I know the less I understand.
November 29, 2025 at 11:29 #1745942This will just be a watching brief for me, would love to see nothing more than constitution hill back to his sparkling self again!

Bet365 super boosting a top 2 finish was tempting, but i see those things as a curse these days!
November 29, 2025 at 11:47 #1745946Golden Ace was my Cheltenham heroine so I’m
hoping she at least goes well today. Small wager at big odds, maybe fortune will favour me twice this year!November 29, 2025 at 12:00 #1745950The New Lion 2-1 but I won’t be upset if Constitution Hill thumps them.
The more I know the less I understand.
