Backed Constitution Hill at 9-4 and Anzadam at 100-30. As discussed elsewhere. I believe The New Lion to be very overrated.
November 11, 2025 at 15:46 #1744294If CH wasn’t ready for this race last year, why would he be a better option this year? The summer ground was as firm as it could be, the horse is one year older and there is still a long way to go until the final November weekend.
I don’t trust Mr. Unibet no matter whatever he tells us about his schooling sessions. That’s why I’ll wait until he really lines up for the race.
Yes, The New Lion is overrated imo as well, just like many other Skelton horses.November 11, 2025 at 17:57 #1744300Unbeaten , festival winner , he’s not overrated he just needs to prove it against proven grade 1 horses , as for taking 9/4 on the hill im sorry but there’s no value in that , who’s got more questions to answer , the hill or the lion ….the hill all day long
November 16, 2025 at 04:16 #1744717Racing Post headline about Constitution Hill from the trainer…
“I know people will say they’ve heard it all before – but when I see Constitution Hill now, he’s suddenly developed quality”
The New One supporters better watch out ;o) lol
November 16, 2025 at 07:15 #1744719Was the hill not working well before his trip to Ireland …. It’s almost as if Nicky whos currently colder than a Eskimo with hypothermia is trying to get some attention , if anyone is expecting CH to win this 20 + lengths on the bridle then I think there in for a shock , even if he’s back to some sort of form what happens and it will what happens when push comes to shove , I reckon very little
November 16, 2025 at 09:08 #1744721Why does he constantly talk crap about CH . He should just turn up and do it . The horse will fold as should as pressure come on .

Comment of the week
November 16, 2025 at 09:48 #1744726The New Lion even. Haha.
November 16, 2025 at 11:18 #1744737It’s also adds huge pressure to Nico , he’s had let’s say a couple of indifferent seasons , if not his follows suit then will cracks appear in the working relationship
November 18, 2025 at 21:30 #1745053Some firms still offering 3 places which is a bit weird. I’d be very surprised if they get 8 runners.
The New Lion
Constitution Hill
Celtic DinoOf the rest
Anzadam- going to Morgiana
Lulamba- already been chasing now- I’d be surprised if they switch even if CH gets a sore tummy the morning of decs
Kateira- more trainers championship dollars to be hoovered up elsewhere
Burdett Road- not good enough, gone chasing
Golden Ace- may needs more time after dirty scope on reappearance bomb
Colonel Mustard- just been Navan mudslogging
Give It To Me OJ- Gerry Feilden? Still juice in the mark
Zanndabad ??? Trainer is a law unto himselfSo my filthy ew is going on Kargese 10-1 ew.
Trainer got Anzadam and Irancy for Morgiana. It’s 2 miles or bust for Kargese. Maybe going chasing- but stable have the monster Kopek for the 2m novice chases, maybe Salvator Mundi and probably another half dozen possible geldings. Jade de Grugy might be the owner’s chaser with a view to 2.5miles+ – she’s got a beginners entry, Kargese too mental to stay that far.I bet Willie wouldn’t mind rattling a few English cages early doors. With the weight allowance Kargese is on a par with The New Lion, though she’s a year younger. It’s a shot to nothing- if she loses she can get her mark down for the County, or go chasing and target late spring 2 mile races. If she wins she can razz around Kempton next.
Who knows she might not leave Ireland, prob not fit enough, might lose the head first time out and tear off at a million miles an hour with no cover in a small field , and stop to nothing over the last. Celtic Dino at 20s a much more sensible bit of ew dirt. But I love bonkers little Kargese. Danny Mullins can ride her and leave Paul Townend at home in Fairyhouse at that meeeting where he won on Impaire et Passe and Anzadam last year.
Kargese 10-1 ew 3 places b365
November 20, 2025 at 11:00 #1745100Anzadam not running in the Morgiana… so is either injured, not working well or coming here?
Charles Darwin to conquer the World
November 20, 2025 at 19:23 #1745112He’s coming here Nathan. Really hope all 3 big guns stand their ground. Even if it’s a 3 or 4 runner race it will be as exciting a renewal as there has been in a long time.
November 20, 2025 at 20:32 #1745119According to the Sporting Life, Anzadam now runs at Newcastle as Mullins says he wants to find out if Lossiemouth is a real 2m horse, so she is going to the Morgiana and if she wins well potentially onto the Christmas Hurdle again.
Personally, I think that is the right decision as I don’t think her Kempton run was a true reflection of her ability to act at 2m as they were training her for 2m4f that season before changing tacts with her – she was never travelling at any stage of that race and I can’t believe it was because of it being run at 2m pace as opposed to 2m4f pace.
Saturday might tells us more but given it is a 4 runner race and no guaranteed pace it could turn tactical unless Townend decides to make it himself (as they tried with her in the Irish Champion Hurdle where she actually fell heavily).
With Anzadam, he seems to have a big engine but I would be slightly worried about his hurdling technique, which at times has left a lot to be desired especially when he has the least experience (four lifetime starts and whilst all four have been over hurdles, only two of them were runs outside of France) and he will be taking pretty slick and more experienced hurdlers.
It will also be interesting to see if Townend comes over to ride him (he is the only one to have ridden the horse since he has been with Mullins) as the race is on the same day as the John Durkan where he would be due to ride Gaelic Warrior in his prep for the King George.
November 20, 2025 at 20:36 #1745121Lossiemouth running in the Morgiana also means Ballyburn slots in to the Hattons Grace rather than having both Ballyburn and Lossiemouth in the same race.

Any news about him has that hideous photo of him bunny hopping through a hurdle when he’s about to land with his back feet first, front legs curled and head just looking awkward and stressed. If I was the owner I wouldn’t be buying the photo, I’d be looking to get a still from the video that made him look more presentable.“It will also be interesting to see if Townend comes over to ride him (he is the only one to have ridden the horse since he has been with Mullins) as the race is on the same day as the John Durkan”
The John Durkan is this weekend. The FF the same day as the first day of the Fairyhouse meeting- the day before the Drinmore+ Hatton’s Grace.November 20, 2025 at 22:33 #1745143Doh – my bad, got my dates mixed up.
November 21, 2025 at 07:26 #1745145Anzadam has loads to find in any case. A year on the sidelines and he’s only beat Beacons edge and Kala Conti. Still a good addition if he comes over and adds intrigue to the race.
Hendo has done it again. I am now convinced that CH is back to his best… again and will trounce these new pretenders.
