Quite an interesting article from the Sporting Life.
Didn’t realise Venetia and Alan King are that long without a winner. Fact is that Venetia rarely has a G1 horse in training and King has switched his attention towards the Flat.
February 6, 2022 at 19:10 #1581842Alan King’s useful two mile chaser Valdez galloped past the post first in the 2018 Grand Annual.
The problem is that he’d unseated Wayne Hutchinson at the third fence. 🤐
February 6, 2022 at 19:31 #1581846Venetia does not even target Cheltenham now. Her business is built around November to February. Why bother trying to compete with the Irish trio and Henderson?
Having said that, she probably has her best team for quite a while this year.
February 6, 2022 at 21:36 #1581867You’re right, Cork. She really knows how to make the most cash in those five months. Big handicap wins and also gambles landed.
February 7, 2022 at 18:35 #1581999King isn’t to bothered by NH now but he has a good chance with Edwardstone , doesn’t normally pay to follow Williams come March/April ( bar Mon Mome ) , Pipe can only run horses in hcaps now , Tizzard is a surprise name on the list

February 7, 2022 at 20:00 #1582022Tizzard is back to form
