The mrs made me watch both Mama Mia films recently, hadn’t heard Andante Andante before but loved it! Thought the films were good as well to be fair, those sort usually not my cup of tea.

June 4, 2021 at 10:15 #1543400I was far too cool – or thought I was – to like ABBA at the time, but looking back they wrote a whole host of great songs in a way only great bands like The Beatles could.
Head Over Heels is, amid stiff competition, my favourite.

June 4, 2021 at 13:55 #1543474Like Drone I am a KMKY fan – fantastic vocal harmonies. Others are Gimme, Gimmee, Gimmee and Summer Night City. But there is a whole host of great songs. Again it was uncool as a kid to like ABBA but as you grow older you appreciate how good some of the music was especially the vocal harmonies.

I’ll throw this reflective one into the mix; featuring the best member of the band
The Day Before You Came
June 4, 2021 at 21:18 #1543636Mum and dad were massive fans so I could probably sing most of them still. Super Trouper is one of my favourites.
And Muriel’s Wedding is one of my favourite films with great performances by all of the cast.June 4, 2021 at 21:42 #1543651One that sometimes goes under the radar but the one I particularly like is ‘Slipping Through My Fingers’.

That and the yearning-cum-mournful guitar-break bridges
The epitome of the beautifully crafted ‘pop’ song
June 4, 2021 at 22:45 #1543669The Winner Takes it All is my answer but there are probably ten that you could make a good case for. Whether you are a fan or not, I don’t think anyone can deny that they produced a superb catalogue of pop music.
June 5, 2021 at 06:59 #1543709🎵 Thank You For The Music 🎵
Love belting this one out (when nobody’s listening). They look so happy in this video.
Thank you for the music ABBA.

June 6, 2021 at 11:35 #1544061The Winner Takes It All, The Name Of The Game and S.O.S. the top 3.
June 6, 2021 at 16:50 #1544149Maybe mine is ‘Lay All Your Love On Me’.
Thing is though, the magic of ABBA songs is that one could wake up on a different day in another mood and then choose a new favourite.
Hasta Manana is probaby their most underrated song. It’s beautiful and charming.
June 9, 2021 at 00:40 #1544515Nathan, I think this spoil Dancing Queen for me
Anyway my favourite Abba song has to be CHIQUITITA
You've got to accentuate the positive.
