The recent exploits of Messrs Thorpe and Williams in particular have proven who the most prolific "Midas Touch" trainers in National Hunt racing really are, but it would be inaccurate to say there haven’t been a fair number of comparable success stories (at a variety of levels) emanating from Brancepeth. Not that his present string (by a long margin the worst it’s been quality-wise since the yard went public) offers much hope of many others in the same mould, though.

January 8, 2007 at 17:30 #35274A mix of British and American presenters. Of the Americans I’d go for Frank Lyons and a young girl who does interviews for TVG called Christina.
Jerry Bailey’s also made a good start to his TV career
For handicapping analysis-i would actually go for someone who does no TV but plenty of radio in Australia-Peter Ellis- I doubt that there’s anyone anywhere in the world that spends more time going racing, studying form etc.

Oh there are so many examples I hardly know where to start! There was one the other day whose name I can’t remember exactly but it was "……….of Friend’s" which is so wrong! It was annoying Sean Boyce too. I know I shouldn’t be too picky about such trivial things, but it does bug me no end!
