Couldn’t find a thread for this.

Bit disappointing field considering the three year old fillies that could have run from the Coronation stakes.

Looks a three horse race to me.

Drying ground should suit Porta Fortuna who pretty much stands out on form. Raced more prominently than usual in the Coronation (after proving she stayed well in the 1000) – tracking pace at Ascot – and probably won’t want to be too far behind here either.

A Lilac Rolla is progressive and a good second in the Irish 1000. If the improved form wasn’t down to the ground (has form on Good) is in with a shout if improving further. Raced just behind the pace at the Curragh.

Running Lion improved in both ability and temperament last time out at Ascot. Oisin kept her wide until able to lead outright. Refused to go through a gap on her penultimate start. Thought I was going to oppose RL in this because front running may well be vital to her chance. But no Coolmore horse, no pacemakers, no other front runner… Wind may well be stronger than yesterday, but not quite from directly behind them today – North instead of North-West. But even so, may well get the run of the race IF remaining straight (can hang).

Rogue Millenium would be in with a squeak if returning to her 2023 / straight course form. But has been disappointing in two runs around a turn for his new trainer this season. Even at her very best should find one or two too good and hold up tactics might not favour her either.

Sirona was beaten just a length at Group 3 level last time. Hold up tactics in a strongly run 7f probably suited her (possibly flattered) and has stamina to prove here.

Jabaara was beaten 3 lengths when 6th to Porta Fortuna in the Cheveley Park last year. Been running at Listed class this year, winning two. That looks her level and another with stamina to prove.

Magical Sunset is another Amo Racing no hoper.

Backed Running Lion and A Lilac Rolla with Porta Fortuna saver.

Wont be forgiving myself anytime soon for not backing PF @13/8 yesterday against that lot

Feel a bit the same way, ham. Although I did make her the saver bet should’ve been a main bet with a Capital “B” once knowing the ground wasn’t as soft as expected on the Thursday.

Stupid of me for making Running Lion the main bet, even with her likely to get a fairly soft lead. Once something came upsides just did not want to know. Suspect they’ll make some excuse and retire her now, otherwise she’ll be getting a squiggle!

I never backed anything in the race, but similar to you, i let the reputation running lion seemingly has cast doubt, even though i knew what she was prior to the race. Silly.

Sirona has a decent race in her somewhere, change of tactics may be needed, contrary to not staying last season, she looks like she needs 10f now

Anyone know why Opera Singer was withdrawn?
She’s not in the Oaks next week either.
