Highest Ground is jocked to race tomorrow, if he was uber impressive i’d say he could show up in the Derby. It’ll give him more time racing tomorrow opposed to Saturday.
Ricetta ran on Thursday on soft ground, she could well show up here, but JG might not want to rush her with his Oaks hand already sorted.
Thunderous + Volkan Star are jocked up + probably the two likeliest runners that i think could win. Moore an interesting booking for Thunderous. The trainer’s horses don’t need their runs generally, so i do fear him, but marginally favour Volkan Star at 9/2.The trainer has sent good horses here in the past 2 seasons i think he will improve for the run and likely take the beating

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!The connections have already confirmed HG won’t run in the derby. I guess it’s possible if he hacks up by 8L though!
Yes Ista, i saw that, he was muted to only be having a late campaign, but i guess he’s made good progress + is back.
As you say though, you’d be against him knowing what we know. Volkan Star has a run + trainer/owners do well at the track. Happy enough with 9/2.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!The field has cut down to 5 and the two i mentioned Thunderous + Volkan Star stand their ground. While Highest Ground + Ricetta don’t as expected.
It has fairly cut up and there are now 6/4 and 7/4 with 365. While i wouldn’t be massively confident on VS winning, purely because we don’t know how good Johnston’s is. We do know VS comes here with a run in his bag, while Thunderous has had 2 setbacks during the Winter + Spring.
