Sangarius might be one of my new favourites. Didn’t back him, never heard of him before this week but he looks fab.
What horses caught your eye (not necessarily winners)?
June 22, 2019 at 21:29 #1446734Japan and sangarius look like horses to follow for the season
Fleeting too, wasn’t Ryan Moores greatest moment that one, she has a big win in her
Will be interested in fairyland if she is upped to 6f, looked to have plenty of promise as a sprinter
June 22, 2019 at 21:43 #1446738Japan big time
also wouldn’t give up on Norway
think the going didn’t suit that one and possible O’Brien horse for Leger if they swerve the race with JapanBlackbeard to conquer the World
June 22, 2019 at 21:45 #1446739Accidental Agent
June 22, 2019 at 21:48 #1446740Two obvious ones maybe, Fox Chairman and King of Comedy, maybe not so obvious Constantinople nearly won the King Edward off top weight and is progressing with each run
June 22, 2019 at 21:49 #1446741Agree about Fairyland FF (I’m biased cos she’s in my TTF) – did really well for one that’s suddenly been dropped fron 8 to 5.
June 22, 2019 at 23:06 #1446749Ventura Rebel. Should’ve stayed in the longer Coventry Stakes rather than go for the sharper Norfolk.
June 22, 2019 at 23:30 #1446755Agree on King Of Comedy who had Sangarius well beaten in one of his earlier races, He’s already put Too Darn Hot and Phoenix Of Spain out to grass and he’s getting better every time he runs.
Have to give a mention to Angel’s Hideaway who ran a cracker to be 3rd to the colts in The Jersey Stakes this afternoon, she has been very highly tried by John Gosden this year and hopefully once back amongst the fillies she will get the win she truly deserves. Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 22, 2019 at 23:54 #1446759Agree on Norway Nathan, still very keen on him for The St Leger.
Stylehunter – No luck at all in Hunt Cup, and would have won but for slow out the stalls, and no luck in running.
Almost Midnight – Given a careful ride in The Queens Vase, but fared much better than expected, and probably a better horse than connections thought. Should have a big prize in him.
Red Epaulette – Caught the eye in The Windsor Castle, and though maybe doesn’t have as lofty targets as the winner, he should have a bright future.
Numerian – Turf debut in The Britannia, and fairly motoring at the finish, after traffic problems. Another who’ll be winning decent races.
June 23, 2019 at 09:30 #1446774Japan – looks like an improver.
Fox Chairman – looked unlucky to me. One for the notebook.
Daahyeh – impressed by her finishing effort. Looks to have more in the locker.
Sangarius – onwards and upwards for him most probably.
June 23, 2019 at 15:06 #1446798Fair shout VTC on Numerian.
Japan, Fox Chairman + King of Comedy the blatantly obvious ones.
Momkin didn’t have a great passage in the Jersey by any means, when his chance was gone Atzeni didn’t touch him. I’d argue he was value for a length or two better than his finishing position.
Eagles by Day- beaten rather easily by what could be a top horse. He shaped very well and given his pedigree he might well be one to improve for even further. St Leger 20/1 not the worst in the world, for all Ballydoyle will probably have something up their sleeve as per!
Dee Ex Bee- now he’s proven over the trip, a more attacking ride will certainly suit him.
Move Swiftly- being by Farrh she probably enjoyed the ground, but i think she’s good. Could be one of the top fillies going forward.
Will be looking over this more i reckon this evening.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!June 23, 2019 at 18:56 #1446810Well I agree on Momkin, I’m still annoyed at the ride actually. He wouldn’t have won obviously but he should’ve finished in the top4 and been in the EW money for me. C’est La vie as they say….
June 23, 2019 at 22:29 #1446831Glasvegas in The Windsor Castle for me.
June 23, 2019 at 22:30 #1446832Dream Of Dreams finishing like the proverbial train to collar Blue Point just after the line …. am always a sucker for a flaxen haired chestnut!
Nagano Gold, very unlucky at the start.June 23, 2019 at 22:54 #1446837Brothers Capri and Cypress Creek going down to the start together was eyecatchingly pretty. They look like they should be in the circus.
June 24, 2019 at 09:38 #1446857Another that caught the eye in a good way was Roseman. I think this years Hampton Court will be well worth watching for the future. Rounding the bend he looked like he could be tailed off. Then at the 1f pole he started to motor. He only started racing in April, so it’s possible he was still green? Given he started out in April + had the ability to get within 2.5Ls of King Of Comedy at Sandown suggests there’s plenty of potential there. Might be a slow burner but i wouldn’t be surprised if Varian made him into a very decent horse.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!June 24, 2019 at 12:51 #1446880I had a rare Flat antepost bet on Pinatubo for the Gns at 16/1. Most impressed by the way he passed the fav and went to the line. He looks tough and very strong in build.
