I appear to be practically in love with Venetia Williams nowadays. Not much gaydar going off there though *sigh*.
…So when you texted me yesterday to say you were leaving Chelters early, were you in fact in the process of being ejected for stalking her?
If you’re heading to Ludlow on Monday, I’ll lend you some form of disguise.
Alice Plunkett is a bit of a dish too i reckon!
Credit where it’s due, she certainly does a nice line in leather kecks.

January 2, 2009 at 18:03 #201034she reminds me of a more feminine K D Lang, whose rendition of Hallelujah is surely better than most.
Perhaps Venetia can do a turn with the song for me, when next she is interviewed. I should like that. Also, I think it does have sexual connotations –

Did you or did you not send me a text at stupid in the morning on New Years Day saying that you’re not gay in 2009?
You can understand my confusion when I got that one about Venetia twelve hours later.
Make your mind up!
January 2, 2009 at 20:26 #201052My favourate is Tim Easterby, he is cute and honest, shame is isnt gay, as a trainer he ticks all the boxes.
Alex Fracas is another hotty if you like smouldering French totty.
Ben Haslam is a real pretty boy, he gets it from his mum I think as she is atractive, this lad has too be one of the hottest bits of totty in racing as well as a nice chap too boot.
Adian O’Brian is quite cute, he and his entire families are so small that they could get parts as exstras in the Lord Of The Rings films.
DR Vincent O’Brian when he was young looked a real catch, handsome, charming and one hell of trainer.
Most of the jockeys are beaten with the ugly stick. Richard Hughes isnt bad looking f he put on a couple of pounds. Ryan Moore isnt bad looking, Jamie Spencer looks like a choir boy. Kerin Mchavoy’s departure too oz is a blow as he was the best looking jockey around.
Even when he was young I never got the whole Henry Cecil thing, he never run my bell.
The Ventia Williams thing, is she is hetro why havent half the NH boys made a play for her and at least one of them won her hand?
January 2, 2009 at 21:01 #201060Zoz,
Perhaps Emily prefers a bit of variety these days Zoz, it is all the rage I believe
I am hoping she will be looking in over the next few days as I may need her opinion on a subject. In fact, on a mostly family man’s forum such as this, she may be my only respondant.Even when he was young I never got the whole Henry Cecil thing, he never run my bell.
Mr Pudding,
Regarding Henry Cecil, I used to feel as you about him in his earlier years, but last summer, along with some others, I had the good fortune to visit his stable and he kindly showed us around his beautiful gardens too, which many of us were anxious to see.Despite his problems, I found him a charming gentleman, full of good humour and joviality and a sharp mind quick with a one liner. I couldn’t blame any woman for falling madly in love with him.

They have. But like a female praying mantis she actually eats them alive when no-one’s looking and they’re never seen again.
Don’t believe me? When was the last time you saw Brian Crowley?

….a minor fall…a major lift..The verse below would seem to back this up UM
There was a time you let me know
What’s real and going on below
but now you never show it to me, do you?
And remember when I moved in you
the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was HallelujahTheir are a few versions of the song (some say 80 verses!!) but I think I read a while ago somewhere its all about having been in love with someone and then that someone basically ending the affair, however there are numerous other possible meanings. I’m not sure if Leonard Cohen has ever given a definitive answer.
January 2, 2009 at 22:40 #201080my word, some sexy writing there aaron, and thank you for highlighting it. I do think the lyrics suit a lesbian singer like KD more than any other.

That’s both hilarious and wrong and also possibly the basis for a racing based horror movie.

Something like that, Zoz?

January 3, 2009 at 01:24 #201112I am sadly lacking the gaydar vibes, but I’ve long-sensed a little ambiguity in Miss Williams.
That’s good enough for me!
January 3, 2009 at 01:30 #201114I think i’d feel quite intimidated by Venetia.
She’d always have somewhere to hang her coat when with me though.
That’s surely half the attraction!
Zoz, variety is the spice of life…. today a Venetia swooner, tomorrow… who knows! I think the non gay 2009 text was due to being rather naffed off by a female. I’m back to normal (ha!) now.

My favourite band of all time set Jane Rule’s lesbian novel Desert Heart to music.THE SHINS – Phantom Limb

Beautiful chamber-indie-pop with impenetrable-ish lyrics about small-town anti-lesbian prejudice. Video features the best school play ever. Oh yes.gc
