Never really been the biggest fan of backing each way but given the amount of horses I back to win that get beaten into a close second or third thought i’d give backing each way ago and recording my results in here.

Obviously as i’ll be backing each way i’ll be avoiding anything below 4/1.

    So here goes!

1:45 Chester – 1pt EW @ 5/1 ‘bet 365’ Beaumont’s Party is the only horse to have previous winning CD form round here, he has a nice draw so should be able to get a decent position and comes into this having won his last two, with the 4th and 9th finishers in his last race going on to win their next race.

2:15 – 1pt EW @ 4/1 ‘bet 365 /Hills / Stan James’ Bonfire will win by half the track if he rediscovers anywhere near his old form. Had his first run since being gelded last time out and should be better off for that run.

3:15 – 2pts EW @ 11/1 ‘ bet 365 / PP’ Sorella Bella is my bet of the day, has nice draw in stall 2, may have been out of his depth last time out when 9th in the craven last time out, this looks a easier task and Channon trained the winner of this race last year so possibly targeted at this race?

Beaumont’s Party never seem to be travelling all that easily but ran on to get me a place winning me my money back I put on him.

Bonfire was very disappointing, and Sorella Bella was just ran out of a place in the last few yards to finish 4th.

Not the worst start in the world but could have been better.

    Current Profit

    Today i’m going for:

    1pt EW @ 9/1 ‘BetVic’

    Fiendish Flame

    – If he gets his own way out front and gets into a nice rhythm, he’ll be hard to pass. His fitness isn’t a doubt either after winning last time out.

    2pts EW @ 11/1 ‘Stan James’

    RulesNRegulations

    – Had some decent form towards the end of last season and now running first time out for a new yard could be revitalised.

Another modest day, RulesNRegs was unplaced, whereas Fiendish Flame led every yard of the race only to be caught bang on the line. :(

    Selections for today

    2pts EW @ 12/1 ‘Stan James’ 3.30 Haydock

    Mr Mole

    – Fancied for the Imperial Cup but disappointed, has a big race in him and today could very well be the day, Harry Derham is a talented jockey and takes off 5.

    1pt EW @ 40/1 ‘Bet Vic’ 3.50 Ascot

    King of Eden

    – Unlucky not the be coming into this looking for a hat trick after hitting traffic problems last time out. In good form has a nice low weight and could well snatch a place at a big price.

King of Eden ran into traffic problems again yet probably wouldnt have got placed anyway.

Mr Mole looked like the winner at 2 out yet his attitude seemed to prevent him winning still the second place left me up .80 for the day :)

The search for the illusive first winner however still goes on!

    Current Profit - 6.40

    1PT EW @ 11/1 ‘StanJames / Lads’ 5.25 Towcester

    Bob Lewis

    – Was slightly disappointing when 5th and beating favourite last time but his second place finish before then was promising. Runs in an amateur riders race which could be the key to him getting his first win of the season.

    2PTS EW @ 8/1 ‘Stan James’ 3.15 Doncaster

    Iggy

has ran promisingly twice on the all weather finishing a good 2nd of 7f before winning over 5f. If he converts that form to turf he has every chance here.
