No idea how you haven’t got at least one of your four goals Landafar
On current form I do not see which of the teams at the top of the betting that we beat. France, Spain and Germany will run rings around us, Portugal and Netherlands would probably get the better of us, we could maybe hold Italy to a draw. Could see us beating Belgium, they’re like us, should be better given the players available.
Who knows, maybe we’ll turn a corner but it needs to happen soon.
We still believe
June 21, 2024 at 20:36 #1699314At the switch for the three subs there was a momentary injection of hope but that didn’t last long.
The things I want most in life are the things that I can't win.
June 21, 2024 at 21:06 #1699318Its been analysed to death but the issues we have are no recognised LB, Trent not really being a central midfielder and struggling to fit Foden and Bellingham in the same side.
The LB issue is being overlooked, Trippier is a good RB but when he does get forward he’s got no left foot and has to come back slowing the momentum down. I do think his legs are gone a bit too. We’re losing the midfield because Trent doesn’t know the role. Southgate’s been banging on about Kalvin Phillips and I get what he means, we do lack bite in that midfield but Trent couldn’t be further away from that type of player if he tried. Foden won’t stay wide and coupled with the issues with Trippier, teams are happy to let the left side of our team have the ball as neither of them want to be on that side and attack the full back. I think there is a way Jude and Foden can play together but it involves Jude taking on a more defensive role and going forwards when the time is right. Bowen or Gordon or whoever can play on the left. The LB situation probably can’t be resolved as Southgate only named an unfit Luke Shaw which was a huge error.

Taylor shouldn’t be anywhere near this tournamentBlackbeard to conquer the World
June 22, 2024 at 06:16 #1699375If I ever go for goals galore again, show me the way to the mad/poor house..
June 23, 2024 at 00:49 #1699707Most of the games have been outstanding; great tournament (so far)
June 23, 2024 at 07:59 #1699710Just wait until the Slovakia V Romania match, a draw puts them both through. 0-0 is 9/2 and 1-1 is 3/1, straight draw 11/10.
They also have the added advantage of the first four groups being settled.June 23, 2024 at 16:51 #1699751I’m thinking the Scots might have the character for the big occasion to win against the Magyars tonight. Add 2.5 + goals and you get 18/5
John McGinn anytime scorer 100/30
June 23, 2024 at 18:13 #1699760Zilzal, I wish England would play with the same passion, Scotland play for the shirt.
Andy Robertson certainly plays with his heart on his sleave, anytime to score 8/1.
I have memories of Hungary beating England at Wembley, so a second shot, Scotland 1 Hungary 3 14/1.June 23, 2024 at 18:36 #1699766Agree Landafar
And the best thing for me so far in this Euros is the Scotland nation anthem
Enough for the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up and goosebumps stuff
How it should be
Not the crap the English lot come out with going on about German bombers and the IRA get with the times bunch of inbreds…😂Blackbeard to conquer the World
June 23, 2024 at 19:07 #1699769Nathan, 100%..
Ive only seen the England footie team once vs France, that was at the Euros in Portugal.
We lost to two late goals and Becks missed a penalty.
The atmosphere before and after was toxic, so I have never been again. My mate won a T-Mobile comp and its was a charter flight from Stanstead to Lisbon, no enjoyment at all for a freebie.Whereas at Rugby, watching England overseas is a pleasure. Italy v England this year in Rome was so good and cheaper than Twickers, that my lot are all booked for Italy V France next year in the Six Nations. Allez Les Blues.
Anyway I wish the Scots the best, they play with passion, their worst enemy could be getting stuck in too much and ending up with a red card.
June 23, 2024 at 22:06 #1699778Hard enough to pick a winner without the added uncertainty of teams needing different results
June 23, 2024 at 23:05 #1699780I do hope these braindead morons with their rubbish chants will die out one day but no doubt they’re being replaced. It’s not funny and everyone else thinks you’re a bunch of prats. Absolutely embarrassing for the majority who are no doubt good natured.
Have to say I’m enjoying watching it all from home more than ever these days. Used to go to the pub a lot for matches but it appeals less and less. And those fan zones like Boxpark or whatever it is where everyone throws their £8 pints in the air when there’s a goal, what on Earth is that about?
Very harsh on Scotland this evening, how was that not a penalty? Losing was immaterial in the end, they’d already had their last chance.
June 24, 2024 at 07:39 #1699791We would have been more outraged by that penalty denial if both teams hadn’t spent the 90 minutes convincing us that neither were last sixteen material. I’m not fond of technical penalties but that was a 100% technical penalty. Should England stand up for Hamish? Or do they wait until they suffer the same fate in the semis or final. This isn’t the Eurovision!
June 24, 2024 at 15:12 #1699834Netflix has an eye-opening documentary about the last Euro final at Wembley. My son was working in London, loved it, but said there was a palpable air of threat all day
June 24, 2024 at 22:08 #1699873Only started watching this properly in the last few days, and the standard appears to be terrible.
Is this a reflection of World football being in a really bad place at the moment?
June 25, 2024 at 15:19 #1699915International football is at a lower level than the champions league or even the premier league Stilvi, but I think the standard has been pretty good
