The best maidens are run at the best tracks.
I can remember a crappy maiden at Yarmouth in which Salse beat Persian Heights.
The Coolmore horse was very impressive today and looks the one to beat at Epsom, given that he was expected to improve for today’s outing.
May 10, 2010 at 01:08 #295062Imo I’d say Mida’s Touch isn’t in APOB’s top 3 mile and a half horses!

St Nic, Jan Vermeer and Cape Blanco?
May 10, 2010 at 14:36 #295111There hasn’t been flat racing at Punchestown since 2001 – the year they had all the trouble with the drainage. High Chaparral was beaten on his racecourse debut there by a short head by a horse of Kevin Prendergast’s. I think he won his maiden down at Limerick Junction a week or two later.

I"d say he hasn"t got a horse in the yard that will get 31/2m thm!!
May 10, 2010 at 20:28 #295171Edinburgh Knight is currently lying second on 16% to St Nicholas Abbey’s 17% in the Racing Post poll, so we just need a couple of more votes to push him into the lead.
May 12, 2010 at 18:00 #295435Anyone else rate Godolphin’s Zeitoper as a Derby outsider, three out of three including a course win,33-1 on offer
May 13, 2010 at 15:00 #295549Cape Blanco:
He came down and now I have laid him off!
May 14, 2010 at 11:56 #295665This looks remarkably like a ‘Lammtarra’ Derby.
Zeitoper could be exactly the type of horse I am looking for to win this year. Lammtarra won at 16-1 on the day – well that’s what I had!
He will need to be supplemented so I’ll be waiting to see if he is.
May 17, 2010 at 15:59 #296072Fry – he is entered…and 33’s but it’s looking like he won’t be going…on entries at least – it’s all speculation!
Are you thinking that one of the ‘transfers’ from France might run and that’s why you’re waiting for a price?
‘Rewilding’ is entered up for the ‘Cocked Hat’ race at Goodwood on Wednesday…
This thread gone a bit quiet…everyone waiting for Tom’s tip tomoz – I guess?!
May 17, 2010 at 17:38 #296080What chance do you think of Rain Forest if he turns up, looking at pedigree and running form he obviously likes good/firm and is used to an undulating track. I have not heard him metioned anywhere else which is a little surprising as Rain Forest appears to fit the bill for a Derby horse.

You were up early!
May 18, 2010 at 16:46 #296162The Question i have to start asking is where are all the English Classic Horses gone?
Irish had First 5 Home last year
New Approach the year before
7 of the last 9 2000 Guineas exportedWhere has all the High Class English Horses gone….Authorized was the last real Top English Middle Distance Horse but apart from that i can’t remember many.
Really Disappointing the lack of Depth in the English Division. The Fruits of the Boycott on Coolmore Stock has really hurt the English classic generation the past few years.
May 18, 2010 at 16:48 #296163Anyone know what on earth is the reason for the price changes on the machines?
Fencing Master 80s – 50s
Jan Vermeer 44s – 27s
Midas Touch 15s – 9sCape Blanco, now 9.6!
Whats the craic?
May 18, 2010 at 22:04 #296194I assume the backers are all just anticipating good performances over the weekend.
