[b:3qqlvjn4]Hi Guys,
So your user management system Kicks in after 3 hours, are you having a laugh.
Today after only 1 hour while compiling my speed figures I was automatically logged out again, the same problem as usual my system just froze up.I have already complained about this problem before and your website makes my 100MB broadband connection act like a 90k dial up modem.
You have far too much flash and other crap running on the website that must be affecting everybody’s else systems who do not have the luxury of a fast broadband connection.
Quite frankly if I was not a speed handicapper I would not visit your website as it had continually got worse over the years.
Please tell your web designers “lay off the Flash”, the Sporting Life’s new designed website is lightning fast.
Regards
Mike Bennett.[/b:3qqlvjn4]
So bad has The Racing Post’s website got, I am seriously thinking of stopping speed handicapping so I do not have to visit their website again as it sucks big time.
I have been on the website at 4.00am and it lags something awful, why have I got a 100mb broadband connection as it cannot function visiting the flash and other crap nightmare. <!– s:shock: –>
<!– s:shock: –>August 23, 2012 at 05:58 #410615If you use Firefox, installing Adblocker will take of the Flash content on the RP site. It is fairly resource heavy itself mind, but definitely worth giving a go.

I like to use Internet Explorer 9.0.
I might have found a solution to the flash crap running on the Post’s website by making sure that the
Active X control
in IE9 is enabled in the tools section and I set the safety level to high.
Just been testing it out against the Post’s website and it has disabled some of the flash running, so far so good.
I will not let the cretins running the web designing at the Racing Post, ruin my browsing experience.
Their web designers must have a motto
"We can turn your 100MB broadband connection into a 90K dial up modem if you visit us"
.
August 23, 2012 at 08:51 #410625I’ve experienced the same problems. In fact, the site is completely unusable using Chrome as it locks up every time. I’ve had to revert to IE just for it to work at all.
The Sporting Life site is generally head and shoulders above the RP site but some things are easier on the RP site such as just clicking the results tab to see all the day’s results on one page so I haven’t given up using it completely.
February 18, 2014 at 07:19 #25580The Racing Post made changes to their page layout yesterday, this morning I find that all my speed figures are missing from the race cards, in fact my whole database has vanished <!– s:shock: –>
<!– s:shock: –>Anybody else having the same problem <!– s:shock: –>
<!– s:shock: –>I sent them an email with a couple of screen shots showing the problem <!– s:shock: –>
<!– s:shock: –>Update: The Racing Post have flagged up this problem to their tech team after receiving emails from customers.
February 18, 2014 at 10:20 #468399My ratings are all present and correct
Looks horrible though with those huge Tabs…..
Why on earth do they have to keep fiddling with it every few months……..I think they should sack their web team who are obviously just making up things to do to impress the bosses

Just checked with Mozilla and they’re there as well
February 18, 2014 at 18:00 #468430MyRatings do not show for me on the race result page. ie the RATED column is empty.
They do show up for me on the career race summary page.
They also show on the rate race page ie where you enter the data.
February 18, 2014 at 18:23 #468432I have just been updating my ratings on the Post’s website, I can see the career speed figure database for all the runners, and now the winner of each race is returning a rating when I view the race card.

If you are using Firefox as a browser you cannot even select anything from the news tab, it is OK using Chrome and Internet Explorer.
I just sent them another snotty email, asking if it will take their website design people two weeks to fix the problem, like it took them after they were hacked.

February 25, 2014 at 15:22 #469160Just TS & RPR that have gone AWOL today.

been there all day here…….with internet explorer
Sometimes though you do seem to get problems that no one else has………a few months ago the latest prices and best odds and price comparison odds were not loading on the race card for a couple of weeks…….a couple of people said they were having problems but most people weren’t
It’s like they single you out…….
February 25, 2014 at 15:53 #469167Yep, they’re back now, there were gone for a while for me, a few on BF forum had the problem too.
