Wonderful Charm was subject of Antepost support for this last year, before the meeting was lost, so perhaps connection are very keen on him round here. He certainly boasts a fine record at the track, and he’s perhaps the sensible option.
This looks the ideal race for Sumkindofking, while Step Back and Caroles Destrier, although both unpredictable, would be major players on their best form.
I’ll only have one on my mind here though, and though a bit of a sentimental choice, I’d still give him a squeak. He’s 14 now, but I just keep going back to Harry The Viking. He was a big fancy of mine for The Borders National, but he was a surprise absentee. Stable also had market leader that day, so perhaps they didn’t think that was the day for Harry.
I’m a big fan of the yard, still under the radar, and although fortunate on the day, Harry has landed this before. He’s started his season with a “PU” which would be par for the course for him, but he’s bounced back from that before, and if he’s a price I’ll probably play Antepost, before a bigger play on the day. I honest give him a live chance despite his advancing years.
Harry The Viking
January 27, 2020 at 17:03 #148101515 now Bobby is old Harry. I like to call him something else when he goes and wins and I haven’t backed him – think “Young Ones” and the bloke they rented the video off. Sorry I might just follow you in on this one.
January 27, 2020 at 19:51 #1481039lol Homer, is that the bloke from Rumbelows?
January 27, 2020 at 19:52 #1481040January 29, 2020 at 18:15 #1481227I’ll add Step Back if he doesn’t go to Sandown. If he does go I’ll be double handed, as I’ve taken the 8-1 for Wonderful Charm.
January 30, 2020 at 18:18 #1481335I have to take a chance here with Harry.
He really is getting on, but I just can’t leave him at that price, and Rachel McDonald who’s well worth her claim, and gets on so well with him, is jocked up.
I can’t see the 8’s lasting for Wonderful Charm, so I’ll go with him as well.
This is the type of Antepost race where I’m not convinced, but I have to chance them going, as I think those prices are fair.

Wonderful Charm 8’sJanuary 31, 2020 at 20:11 #1481455Vtc Thomson is a really good trainer yet you still get some nice priced winners with him , I’ve made plenty off him the last view years
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
January 31, 2020 at 20:36 #1481463Yeah, he’s a great trainer to follow, and often missed in the bigger races.
I’ve had some great times from them. Maybe pushing it tomorrow, but I’m hoping for a run for my money.
February 1, 2020 at 01:51 #1481497I like Arthur’s Gift here… just a little E/Way. This race is a lot easier than the Welsh Grand National
February 1, 2020 at 10:32 #1481527I also like Arhur’s Gife here for the exact same reason as Euroalien stated. Decent run in the Welsh National, but even on a better mark now and this is a much weaker race.
Arthur’s Gift 8/1 EW
