I didn’t see this thankfully – by all accounts a dreadful incident – poor Earthly went wrong before the first and took an awful fall at the hurdle … the race had barely begun … poor lad …
Thankfully I didn’t see this either however, just looked on the At The Races app and a full replay of the race is available. No idea if they show this horrible event before and after the first – if so, that’s pretty grisly – or if they pick it up after the first. I can’t bring myself to watch it.
RIP Earthly. Sadly things also didn’t look promising for Lambs Lane who fell at the second last in the same race, though I’ve not seen anything to confirm one way or another online as yet. Fingers crossed he was just winded, but he took an ugly fall.
In a rare happy development for the Memorials section, I am very pleased to say that Lambs Lane has run again since my comment above.
