Soprano (third), Persian Dreamer (fourth), Pretty Crystal (fifth) and (Komat) sixth bid to emulate subsequent Group 2 winner Matrika (runner up) in franking the Albany form here.

One slight problem, though – Star Of Mystery absolutely stormed home when winning by four, four and four again over course and distance last time out, looking very good indeed.

No idea what I’ll be doing betting wise in this, as yet, but I think it’s actually a more exciting event than the colts’ contest the previous day.

I liked the look of Woodhay Wonder on her last run. 25-1 seems quite generous to me, and I have bet her with at second place at the very least in mind.

Two of the 2024 1,000 Guineas ante-post portfolio running here and the flags will be at half mast chez moi tomorrow if they’re not first and second!

Soprano out, but I will still be interested to see if Albany fourth Persian Dreamer can get Star Of Mystery at it.

The amo team tactics won the day

Their pace maker ran the legs off the favourite and set it up perfectly for Persian dreamer

Mark ye well these words: “Oppose the Albany form at your PERIL.”

Charlie Appleby seems just a bit off from last couple years , still getting winners but the ones hes got in a moment seem very hit and miss . Ebbs and flows as intakes come in i suppose , still a great trainer.
