I was having a fair afternoon concentrating on Lingfield. I looked at the 3.45 at Kempton. Don’t get involved, I said to myself. They are not worth the effort. Something always goes wrong, and it’s always the ‘other’ Nicholls’ horse that wins it*. These rules are stone set. In the end I did. Tap Night and a little bit on one of the Venetia’s.
The great racing experience was enhanced by The Extraordinary Cattermole on description duties. I never heard mention of nor saw my horse at all. I actually wondered if it refused. The replay informed me it was an early faller. When Fox Appeal went over Cattermole was himself foxed.
Back to the sand!
*This is one of the universe’s rules for me. Similar to back Ryan Moore and lose/Don’t back he wins.

February 21, 2015 at 17:21 #751766Royal Acquisition pulled out at the last mo. I knew I’d get my stake back. But not the forecasts and tricasts he was in. Didn’t even bother looking at the rules, cos i knew it. If you want catchpenny chicanerous* small print, get involved with racing.
*good word, eh?

Because it is always the ‘other one’. Think about it.
Back both and the Henderson/Pipe horse wins. Don’t get me started on the ‘other’ Henderson horse…
