Come on, own up all those who said Don’t Push It wouldn’t get three miles even in the horsebox!!!!
Once again, Fists is de man.

Hope that covered the losses on Denman.

I would just enjoy the moment. I don’t think given his previous record I would get excited about him winning any other race let alone a Hennessey. This race effectively fell apart in front of him with the leaders not getting home/jumping badly.
April 5, 2009 at 14:25 #220451Don’t Push It is one of the main testaments to the improved fortunes of Team Jackdaw’s Castle this year- a good training performance to get that horse interested in jumping fences again IMO.

You obviously missed the first part of the show which started when I fancied him to win this seasons Hennessy. As it happened the horse had a bit of a setback and missed the race but the point was others said he would never get the trip.
Hence the after Hennessy.
He ran a couple of weeks later over 3 miles Then he was 2nd to Fair Along over 3 miles than made Big Bucks the world Hurdle/Aintree winner pull out all the stops albeit getting a lot of weight. He was really fancied to win but ran badly without explanation at Cheltenham. Now he’s bounced back here to win a 3m1f decent race easily and landed a nice touch for the yard.
He’s the only horse to give Denman something to think about before his heart problem and you think he won’t win another race?
As far as the Hennessy is concerned much depends on the weights and the opposition but there’s a couple things for sure. 1. He’ll get the trp 2. lesser animals than him have won it.
Hope you kept faith in Sunnyhillboy BTW would hate to think you gave up on him as well.
April 5, 2009 at 21:03 #220512I have never had a penny on Don’t Push It even though at one stage he looked relatively progressive. As for Sunnyhillboy I left him alone. Unless you have a definite reason why a horse runs inexplicably badly the percentage call is to leave them alone. The race wasn’t a disaster for me as I backed both Bedlam Boy and Carrickboy each-way. In my opinion it took a large element of guesswork to see both Sunnyhillboy and Don’t Push It winning.

Now about next season’s HennesyFIST, like i say credit where its due, and you duly said "Dont push it" would get 3m and he did, so well played! as far as winning next seasons
Hennessey No chance! From what i can remember you backed him at 20/1
for last seasons, but did you not also back/fancy Exotic dancer, Parsons legacy, Character building, New alco, Air force one etc? -
