    Different Gravey’s win yesterday on the clock, was one of the most impressive time performances I have ever seen after 309 days off, I had him improving by 30lbs.
    At the end of the race you heard “well that’s his handicap mark gone” and the look of disbelief on Nicky Henderson’s face said it all, he now has a horse that is right up there with the best.

    I do love* it when I write off a horse merely because of a lengthy absence and not because of how good I think it is, only for it to romp home a la Different Gravey.

    *love in this case denoting my abhorrence for my lack of faith in said animal.

    Not sure what it beat really.
    They were raving about Debdebdeb before hand but that one cut his own throat along with another.
    The going will start to change in the coming months and the bounce factor to figure in but all that said still a compounding performance.
