Isaac Shelby 14/1
Plenty in the market ahead of him which are either not as good as him and others that will not run
Pedigree wouldn’t put you off autumn going
Looked good in the SuperlativeCharles Darwin to conquer the World
September 29, 2022 at 18:30 #1616298An interesting selection, sir, but, if they show up, I would expect Chaldean, Nostrum, Naval Power and approximately half a dozen colts trained by someone with the surname O’Brien to give him problems.
I’ve not had a bet in the race thus far.

September 29, 2022 at 19:01 #1616308I can think of a few who wouldn’t be fans of the trainer tbh.

October 1, 2022 at 11:05 #1616520I hope Nostrum doesn’t run. Let him grow over the Winter ready for the 2000G, his last run wasn’t that long ago.
October 3, 2022 at 16:00 #1616975A few more have held their ground than I expected

October 3, 2022 at 18:09 #1616986Chaldean and Nostrum are the two I like.
Not too sure about Sakheer.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"October 3, 2022 at 19:38 #1616994Sakheer a sprinter, aesops a sprinter, naval power hasnt put up high enough figures for 4 races, should have Improved more, nostrums a danger but the HB forms useless, auguste rodins not going? Fan of isaac but this will be above his level, everything else irrelevant
As said on the guineas thread, im on chaldean there at nice prices, he’ll boost his credentials this saturday and go into the winter the guineas fav
Wasnt going to back him for this but hes way overpriced @5/1 assuming hes coming, will double check that first before i get on
October 4, 2022 at 06:36 #1617332“nostrums a danger but the HB forms useless”
HB a 109 horse and Nostrum beat him out of maiden company fair and square. Chaldean’s had twice as many starts and his last win, the favourite, also a 109, didn’t handle the ground so is Chaldean really worth his lofty mark? If they both turn up we’ll find out Saturday though i have this feeling still that one (most likely Nostrum) will drop out.
Sakheer looks a big danger if 7f not a problem. Isaac could be anything. Aesop could bounce back on forecast decent ground. Naval Power, Royal Scotsman and Marbaan may not be champion material.
October 4, 2022 at 06:50 #1617334I’m not sure if both Nostrum and Chaldean will run and Chaldean is the one already jocked up.

Thanks.
October 4, 2022 at 16:43 #1617381No strings to pull, Gladders.
I left racing journalism in 2001 – I’ve been out of it longer than I was in it (1984-2001) – and when I was in it I was rightly held in about as much general regard and esteem as a dead otter (bit like here – and everywhere – really).
There’s no love for Chezza in this universe (but that’s ok, saves me fortunes), so we will sadly just have to cope with the mispronunciation every time we mislay the mute button.
