From what I heard on RUK, Dettori’s going freelance but he will still ride for Godolphin. Apparently, there’s a statement on the Godolphin website.
Just sounds to me like he’s winding his career down.
Pity Godolphin and Frankie could not have had a private discussioin at the beginning of the year instead of the "front page" effort by Godolphin to squeeze Frankie out.So much for the vaunted loyalty of Sheikh Mohammad.
I’m not surprised as why after being able to choose his rides there would he want to stay and get what he is given. I suppose Godolphin have to look to the future but I’m sure he’ll get lots of rides freelance and good luck to him.
Expected.
This could be the end for Dettori, shame it was so nice just having him around on the big n little days.
Well at least he should get a ride in the 2013 Derby, and what are the odds it’s on Ballydoyle’s second string (or first if JOB puts on weight over the winter)
I believe that Rhyan Moore gets the second string.

Certainly no surprise at all that Frankie is splitting with Godolphin.
All the signs were there, with the general feeling of frostiness that there seemed to be in their relationship recently.
The Camelot ride was the ultimate giveaway. Let’s hope he does ride for them again next year but I won’t hold my breath.
Jamie Spencer has signed a two-year contract, starting in 2013, to be owner Sheikh Fahad Al Thani of Pearl Bloodstock’s retained jockey. That’s another option for Frankie gone.
Doubt if Frankie gives a hoot.
Frankie comes across as one of the nicest guys in racing and has done so much for the game I hope he get loads of rides as a freelance….to be honest I think Godolphin aren’t good enough for Frankie even in his twighlight years as a jockey. They couldn’t train pigs to be dirty IMO
Send all there horses to Aiden he’d double their winning from racing
