More bad news for Dettori as another Royal Ascot ride bites the dust as Haskoy has been retired after straining a tendon.

Point Lonsdale, Bolshoi Ballet and Broome are still in as well as Ryan’s presumed ride Emily Dickinson. They are 4, 5 and 7 years old; the ship might not quite have sailed on PL winning a 10f G1 but it’s not looking likely. If they accept defeat and that none of them have a big stud value/ are going to replace Galileo then they might as well run at least one of them here to while away the season before all 3 of them go for the Melbourne Cup and are gelded and sold down under rather than paying for the plane back home. So Frankie might get on one of them, or perhaps Echoes In Rain who is an intended runner.
