He can’t answer his bookie took his computer of him to settle the debt
February 9, 2008 at 14:58 #141626impressive to say the least, i have denmania by the bucketload, he will win the cup.
February 9, 2008 at 15:03 #141628By all accounts Marb he sweated up today, and didn’t look his usual self going to post – and then he goes and does that. Granted, the opposition weren’t strong, but the horse destroyed them without coming out of second gear.
Nicholls also reported that there is a lot to work on and he will improve

February 9, 2008 at 15:06 #141630Why on earth would I lay anyone Denman at 5/2 when I can lay him at 1/5 on Betfair.
Exactly,
Those people saying "I’ll have £x on Denman at 5/2", what were you thinking?
It’s one of the most morinic things that I see on racing forums when someone puts up their own tissue.
… not as daft as promising to streak if Denman won today, but stupid nevertheless…

February 9, 2008 at 15:08 #141632Hey, I forgot about that steve, roll on the vodafone dash!
February 9, 2008 at 15:09 #141633Perhaps Zoso will be gracious enough to concede that the lazily villified "media" probably weren’t guilty of "hype" in this instance.
If anything, some of their number could be accused of having sold the horse a bit short before now.
February 9, 2008 at 15:12 #141635Another excellent win from the mighty Denman. Not exactly a strong field but the big fella can only beat what lines up beside him and he did it in destructive fashion. Impressive.
February 9, 2008 at 15:13 #141636Yes, steve, because anyone who made such a remark about getting on at 5/2 was entirely serious…either that or the comments were very much tongue-in-cheek, made in response to the ridiculous assertion that Celestial Gold was worthy of going off 4/9 favourite and that Denman was over-hyped.
Don’t take EVERYTHING you read too literally, old boy.
February 9, 2008 at 15:14 #141637AGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! ”the big fella!!!!!!!” no no i cant take it!!!!!!!!!!!
February 9, 2008 at 15:14 #141638When you’ve paid out the 5/2 Zoso please post up some more early morning "specials"..can I get another 5 grand on Denman 5/1 for the Gold Cup please, you have my email….
February 9, 2008 at 15:47 #141646Again, visually impressive – but what did he beat?
Ollie Magern, bless him, tried to tackle the big fella and paid the price. Denman is an absolute monster – did you see the size of him compared to OM?
Denman frightened off all but three participants, but even their pre-race orders were to compete for second. Denman had everything his own way and, inevitably, it was a mere walkover. Celestial Gold is a shadow of his former self and Regal Heights was always going to be held-up to stay the trip.
I still think Kauto will have too many gears for him. KS did to a decent King George field what Denman did to a small field of admirable, yet exposed rivals.
Exotic Dancer will follow Kauto Star home in the Gold Cup, with the big fella back in third.
February 9, 2008 at 15:55 #141647Think this thread should be retitiled "Zosomania came to his end today"

Barry’s bismark as well!

From what i’ve seen, i’d go Denman leading em home with Exotic Dancer and Kauto Star fighting it out for 2nd and 3rd
February 9, 2008 at 16:00 #141650I think Bosranic has a point to be fair. Could anyone see Kauto not doing to the three what Denman did?
Good performance again, yes but its easy to get carried away just after the event.
Kauto for me in the Gold Cup. Good as Denman is he’s a gallopper he hasn’t the gears Kauto has and he won’t be able to gallop the great horse into the ground.
February 9, 2008 at 16:04 #141652Yes, steve, because anyone who made such a remark about getting on at 5/2 was entirely serious…
I understand that.
I just find it tedious that, when someone sticks they neck out and posts a tissue, a flood of these comments are posted.
Maybe they’re meant to be "funny", but they’re old and predictable.
I remember McCririck doing it to another ch4 presenter (Richard Hoiles? – might have been a price about Sulamani?), challenging him to offer a long price on RH’s tissue.
It was stupid and boorish. And I find the same sorts of comments on this thread (though not as obnoxious).
Just my opinion.
