Fascinating race and some real discrepencies in the early betting market.
How Corals came up with TURFROSE as the 2-1 jolly takes some explaining, maybe its a Fabre thing because its certainly not based on any form/evidence i can generate, furthermore, theirs no proof that the filly will benefit from stepping upto this trip (Big Shuffles dont do 2500m!!),it should be noted that on both runs this year her form is not matching up to her current rating, plenty to prove in my humble opinion……i wish i could lay her at 2-1!!
ALIX ROAD is thoroughly exposed and only shows her form at St Cloud ,thus a no from me,
AVANTI POLONIA has a bit to prove at this level, despite her stable having a run she`s got to be a no!
MRS LINSAY doesn`t appear to be the same horse as last year, however, she wouldn`t need to be to win this, her stable where out of form when she last ran , they are showing a bit more now,its also the first time she`s getting in without a penalty, she could go close!!
BELIEVE ME has been finding winning difficult ,still,i think she will benefit stepping upto this trip and easing conditions will suit her very much, however,i see her as the big threat to the English trained ANNA PAVLOVA, the early 7-1 is very generous indeed
ANNA PAVLOVA is taking plenty of positives into the race, forgive her latest as it clearly came to soon, she looked better than ever at Haydock, todays conditions are perfect and you would have to think the trip is her optimum (unlike with some of the others),despite having to carry 2kg more than the others i would trust her more than most to run her race!!
Assuming i have 10 points to play with i would have 4pt win BELIEVE ME at 7-1 with Lads/Corals and 6pt win ANNA PAVLOVA at the pmu returned price!!
August 10, 2008 at 12:12 #176612I fancy Anna Pavlova today, the only negative is her penalty.
If you go to back a certainty always buy a return ticket.
