I had a £25ew bet placed at 28/1 but it was a three-way dead heat for 4th. Terms were 1/4 odds and five places.
My average grasp of dead-heat rules is that 1/3 of the place part is a winner for 4th place and the same for 5th place… but the return was less than I thought so I have obviously got it wrong.
I have used a bet calculator but annoyingly that just seems to back up the bookie.
Could one of you clever people set me straight!?
