I doubt it. My ego and I get on very well together :)
Being near the head of the market spurs me on. I’m looking forward to our tie FSL. I want to be heading the market, so wear your best chain mail on Saturday ;)
February 28, 2007 at 14:26 #87123BTW, interesting to see you are taking Roland on. Is he your bismarck?
February 28, 2007 at 15:29 #87124He is yes though it should be noted I play poker with him in the racing forum games twice weekly.
February 28, 2007 at 15:41 #87125And I’ve told you already Racing Daily its yours to lose in your tie against me. You waltzed through your group whereas i sneaked in via a 4 way tie! I then got lucky with a 20/1 shot in the last round. Honestly mate if you put your best foot forward you will win hands down. And when you win I will make you a single figure price. Would that be more to your liking?
February 28, 2007 at 17:26 #87126I think you are trying to lull me into a false sense of security FSL, before whacking me with a 12/1 nap ;)
I’ve seen your scores in the 4PP, and I think you are on a run at the moment. You underestimate yourself methinks. I consider this one to be a very tough tie.
I will be armed with my finest lance and the very bravest steed I can find, on the following two weeks. The victor will need to prove himself of the highest worth in order to march on.
I’d make it 10/11 a piece, personally.
February 28, 2007 at 20:27 #87127I wouldn’t do that RD,; you’d have a queue a mile long of people wanting to back you before you could shout maximum stake a tenner!
On a run? You could fooled me, my bank balance doesn’t think so! For a start RD, you have much more experience than me, and can trust yourself to pick the right one. And secondly I am travelling Friday night and always make rubbish picks when I am tired. (and can’t be a***ed to get up early to look at the form)
So the way I see it that 8/11 is almost a steal about a man in form who dominated his group and knocked the forum adminstrator out! (poor Corm lol)
February 28, 2007 at 20:28 #87128BTW I always nap my shortest price one – it never wins anyway but I may as well delude myself into thinking i’ve made it a value selection;)
February 28, 2007 at 20:37 #87129thanks fsl it just spices things up ,i have enjoyed your odds compiling & it gets the banter going good job done mate
March 2, 2007 at 03:00 #87130Thanks Baggie; if I keep my trap shut people might think I am remotely useful at compiling odds!
Due to sustained support Racing Daily has now been cut to 9/1 to win the trophy and 4/6 to win his tie against that useless FSL. Well the money is certainly talking RD, it seems as though you are the proverbial "good thing" for this leg?
March 4, 2007 at 15:57 #87131Methinks that ‘Vintage’ is emerging as the one to avoid in the draw. I can’t wait to see how Neil does next week, as he still isn’t out of it.
It’s quite disconcerting to see that I am up against 12 or so of the top 20 in the 4PP. Things are gonna get interesting soon, with the big guns meeting each other. It promises to be a streetfight in the making ;)
Great competition.
March 4, 2007 at 16:20 #87132Last 16 first leg scores…
John Williams Vs Zandor (38-1)
Viking Flagship Vs Baggie 321 (0-4)
Flatseasonlover Vs Racing Daily (10-32)
Neil Anderson Vs Non Vintage (36-54)
Johnny B Vs Trigger (18-50)
Kevin Vs Bertie (20-22)
Bob Rolf Vs Roland (12-20)
Slater Vs Colin Little (23-12)
March 4, 2007 at 19:30 #87133I have to score big next week LOL. What am I running to qualify, 20/1?
Put it this way: if one of my selections does somehow win there won’t be much of a deficit left over! And bet you starting tipping up odds-on shots next week RD lol.
March 4, 2007 at 21:17 #87134I don’t consider it over yet FSL. Matty needed 24 after the first round, and scored 38 the next week. I still need to make sure that I score a few points next Sat.
Luckily, I usually bag 20+
It will be a tough ask, but you are still in there with a shout :)
