LINDA FRUIVIRTOVA 9/2 WTA Thailand open

Only 17 and many young czech female tennis players look out for and she won in India last year. Got Mattek sands in 1st match except her to win it. Wang and Punitseva are potentially QF and semi final rivals. But think she good enough

    LINDA NOVSKA 9/1 WTA LYON

Loss to Sabalenka in Adelaide she raised her performance there and now while Garcia the favourite. She got MUGURUZA then maybe Konjuh
While Garcia in semi finals. She can emulate Tauson break her duck here.

    ALYCIA PARKS 14/1

Other half of draw this powerful young American with her big serve be ideal for courts in Lyon. MLEDENOVIC and Martic after her 1st match for her. Wil suprise people here.

Great win for McIlroy. Pleased he beat Reed, although a play off between the two would have made for good viewing!

Does anyone else hate the Sky Sports coverage? Tuned in to the early coverage to watch some lovely shots of the course and birdies, instead they’re showing Luke Donald on the practice range.

Even when the coverage gets in full swing they’re constantly going back to the studio to show us those presenters having a chat, I don’t wan’t to see that rubbish as often their chat is utter nonsense and adds nothing to the enjoyment anyway. I want to watch golf ffs!

I guess it could be the fact that they pay for the US feed and just cut to the sky sports studio whenever the US broadcast goes to adverts, if so then obviously nothing sky sports can do about it. Either way I always feel like they don’t show enough of the actual golf during these PGA tour events.

“I guess it could be the fact that they pay for the US feed and just cut to the sky sports studio whenever the US broadcast goes to adverts.”

Yes, that is the reason. I think there is also some sort of issue around when the Golf Channel’s coverage hands over to a national broadcaster like NBC or CBS.

Have to say I couldn’t be dealing with the constant adverts on American TV, their sports almost seem like they are designed around it.

At least here even ITV can go 45 minutes without adverts for a football or rugby match.

It would appear Fitzpatrick double bogeyd the last on his opening 2 rounds! It’s almost like he’s purposely mugging me off lol

Unfortunately luck seems to have played a big part this week, lots of players having nice easy birdie chances on par 5s and certain par 4s scuppered due to the timing of the weather, they should have stopped play much sooner if that was going to be their decision, just screws a lot of players over.

This is a farce, the leader is on the green and tells the stewards he’s not going to putt because there’s hail on the green, all the while other players are having to play the other holes!

Bets for Tennis tournaments this week

    JANNICK SINNER 3/1 ATP Montpellier

This Italian player won half of his tournaments indoors. And can add another title here. Kranjovic and Bonzi be awkward rivals here. Humbert maybe in semi finals

    ARTHUR RIDERKECH 33/1 Boosted price

Loves playing in France not won on tour yet but here in his homeland. Has a qualifier then Coric but can beat him. Rune be tough. But should not be under estimated

SEBASTIAN BAEZ 11/2 ATP Cordoba open

In bad form but can change now we return to the clay. Ideal surface for him won 1 tournament and runner up on clay last year.
Has a bye but expect him get to semi finals.
Schwartzman be tough. But no gimmick he get there far.

DENIS SHAPOVALOV 11/2 ATP Dallas open

Big serving leftie not won a lot of tournaments with his talent. Thompson and Kudla should not worry him. While Fritz obviously the favourite got a good Head to head record with him.

ELENA RYBAKINA 9/2 WTA Abu Dhabi championship

Runner up in Australian open but can return to form here. Play well in middle East loss to Halep in a final. Has a bye then maybe Pliskova. While Andreescu and Bencic to. But is good enough to beat them here

    JELENA OSTAPENKO 20/1

On other side of draw no idea what she do. Has Collins up first beat her. Then Zheng and Kasatkina not the toughest seeds. Samonsova
KREJCIEKOVA could await in semi finals.

    LINDA NOVSKA 9/1 WTA Linz

Was a quarter finals last week in Lyon. Go better here got Van ULUTUNCK in opener then maybe Martic. Both tough experience players.
Vekic or Sakkrai in semi finals maybe for her to

    DANKA KOVINIC 28/1

She a player not shown her best form yet loss to Parks no shame there. With Alexandrova and Vondrosouva looking at next week could take there eyes of this week. And she can shock them. Parks my hero in Lyon don’t think she follow up.
