After 2winners last week Rory and Kisner hope i get another winner this week in Alfred Dunhill

    CHARL SCHWARTZEL 13/2

Last year came here as a back to back winner but failed that was because in poor form and
injury issues. This time back in form also more fresher than Branden Grace who been playing every week for over 2months.Schwartzel can regain his title.

    LUCAS BJERRGAARD 18/1

Last year was in contention to win this title on final day but blew it.And while he done the same since. He a much better player now than last year can chase Schwartzel here.

    ALEXANDER LEVY 45/1

On a course like this where power is key Levy can go close this big hitter from France love to go for the holes this week and way course is will suit him very much.

    BRANDEN STONE 80/1

Won Lion of Africa event this young player got a lot of talentwinning that title give him a lot of belif he be playing on european tour every week soon think he do well here.

Any views bigG i left Australian open i have. And if you look at last 3weeks one of my bets been first round leader. Grace at WGC shenzaan,Garcia in BMW Masters and Kisner last week i not bet on any of them for first round leader.

    Hi Darren
You have done well, and I think that it shows just how good a covering
bet on the 1st round leader is. Generally you get about the same odds as
you do for the full tournament betting. It is also nice that you have a
bet running that you don’t have to wait 4 days for.

I’m taking a big risk this week in the Alfred Dunhill. There is every chance
that this might come down to GRACE, SCHWARTZEL or OOSTHUIZEN. But their prices
reflect that, so I’m looking for a strategy which takes this into account.
There are a couple of new recruits from the European Challenge Tour and the
European Tour Qualifying School that I have been hearing really good reports
    about.

Step forward RICARDO GOUVEIA from Portugal and ULRICH VAN DEN BERG from South
Africa. Both are rookies and this would be their 1st win on the big stage, but
this tournament has produced 8 1st time winners since 2000.

Outside of GRACE, who won it last year, SCHWARTZEL who won it the 2 previous years,
and OOSTHUIZEN, I don’t fear too many, so I have bet both GOUVEIA (40/1) and VAN
DEN BERG (130/1) without GRACE SCHWARTZEL and OOSTHUIZEN. I could have take them
at 66/1 and 200/1 with the full field, but I think with the 3 big guns taken out it
gives them a realistic chance and is decent value.

They might tighten up at the end, but should be swinging freely at the start so again
I’ve taken both in the 1st round betting, including the 3 favourites. GOUVEIA is 50/1
and VAN DEN BERG is 150/1. All prices with BETVICTOR and all bets are 1/4 1st 5.

Good luck with your guys Darren :good:

As an afterthought, I’ve also taken Thomas Aiken, who hasn’t had
the best of years, but is talented, and being back in his own
back yard might just bring him to life. At 50/1 for 1st round
leader and the same for the tournament, he’s worth a risk.

    Hi DAZ,
I saw your message on twitter but couldn’t log in for some reason.
I’m think along the same lines as you regard Anderson being my pick from the top half
Raymond Van Barney 22’s from the bottom half, think the bottom half is much weaker and only Lewis worries me from that half, think Barney has a good chance of getting to the final, although as normal with him it’s all mentally unpredictable.
Had a can of irn bru the other day I did, bloody nice it was……

Golf bets this week at Needbank challenge and Hero World challenge

MARTIN KAYMER 20/1 To win Needbank challenge

Won this event in 2012 and not played well this year when you think he was a major champion last year won a players championship as well.Should won at Abu dhabi but chuck a 10 shot lead away on final day.He starting to come into a bit of form with strong course form here think he win it.

    MATTHEW FITZPATRICK 16/1

Normally you need experiance of this course to contend but the newcomers this year look a strong batch,Grillo,AN are two others but i like Fitzy.Won 1st title this season and on a layout like this where it suit him think he go very well.

    ROBERT STREB 50/1

American players not normally do well here.Streb can can change that got into fed ex cup playoffs and play well in last two majors he got a lot of belif now he do well.

Hi Darren, well won with Schwartzel last week. I maybe should give up
trying to pick winners and just bet your choices, you have been doing
    very well of late.

However, God loves a trier they say, so in the NEDBANK CHALLENGE I’m
going to have a go with IMILIANO GRILLO. You have already mentioned
him along with FITZPATRICK as being in a group of very good young
golfers. He won the FRYS OPEN back in October and last week looked
absolutely solid in the DP WORLD TOUR C’SHIP finishing a very
    decent 4th.

He is very capable of going low, so I’m taking him for 1st round
leader too. 28/1 for tournament and 25/1 1st round leader, both with
    Betvictor (1/4 odds 4 places)

I also think your man CHARLES SCHWARTZEL might just do the double, so
I’m going to have him too at 12/1. He said after the tournament that he
wasn’t playing his best golf, so to win the way he did when hopefully
there is more to come from him, gives him every chance here. He also
started last week with a blistering 6 under par to be first round
leader outright. I’m surprised to find a couple of firms (Betfred and
    Ladbrokes) offering 16/1 for 1st round leader, I think that’s a bet
    worth taking.

When you bet SCHWARTZEL last week, did you consider him for 1st round leader?
In the last four weeks you could have had GRACE, GARCIA, KISNER and SCHWARTZEL
all 1st round leaders. That would have been a nice little earner

Best of luck for this week Darren.

Good luck to you too Nathan with your darts bets :good:

Last week Bassong was 1st round leader at 8under he was BigG

Any views on hero world challenge to

Appologies Darren, when I checked back to see who had been 1st round leader,
I missed Bassong as he finished so far down the list as he had a great 1st
round and then 3 terrible rounds. SCHWARTZEL was 2nd after 1st round.
Still, 3 out of 4 and a close second isn’t bad.

I missed the 1st round of the HERO WORLD CHALLENGE, but I’m having a bet on
ADAM SCOTT at 11/1 with Betfred. Last week he finished the Australian open
in great style with 68 and 65 in the last 2 rounds, missing out by 1 stroke.
He’s 5 under here, 1 shot behind 3 players on 6 under. He was round about
16/1 before the tournament started, so I’m surprised he is as high as 11/1
when he has made such a good start.

I’ve also had a bet in running in the AUSTRALIAN PGA. Before he started his
2nd round, DAVID LINGMERTH was +1, 4 off the lead and best priced 10/1 with
Ladbrokes I took some of that. He is now leader at 3 under, 1 ahead.
As I’ve said before, I don’t like to mention a bet that has done well, after
it has done well, so I’ve copied my bet just in case someone thinks I’m at it.

BYEONG HUN AN To win Thailand golf championship 16/1

He my main bet here closed with a 67 in Needbank challenge been playing well all this season and though making debut at course all this year he proved how quick he can adapt to a new course wherever he plays

    SERGIO GARCIA 6/1

Strange that a shorter price bet not main bet but true here.Sergio won here in 2013 and won last week in a playoff which give him a boost that he need. And be biggest fear to AN.

    SCOTT HEND 50/1

Plays on the asian tour had 3 top tens here as well big hitting aussie can play well here again to think he go close here

    NICOLAS COLSAERTS 66/1

These courses in Asia will suit big hitters very well and this young player from Belguim can go well here it true not shown form this year but only a matter of time he plays well can be this week.

Big G any bets this week last week gutted i was Reed and Fowler 2nd and 3rd while Streb was bang there at halfway stage but was shocking at weekend

Bad luck Darren in the Hero World Challenge with Reed and Fowler.
They both played well and finished well. Fowler particularly was
sensational on the last day, it’s a pity he had a bogey at the 16th,
it stopped the flow a little. Bubba seems to have found his touch
again, he is such a frustrating player, he’s let me down a good few
    times.

I’m having one player from the off in the THAILAND Golf Championship,
and that’s home grown THONGCHAI JAIDEE. I hope he is coming good at
the right time. He had a decent round at the HSBC last time out,
finishing 11th and over the past three years has finished 17th, 10th
and 6th (last year), so he’s moving in the right direction. He would
love to win this in front of his home crowd, he will have plenty of
    support.

I’ve taken him at 18/1 for the tournament and 30/1 with Betfred for
1st round leader. I will probably have an in running bet if he is not
doing too well after a couple of rounds.

In the Franklin Templeton Shootout I’m not really sure how that will
work out. I can’t claim to have much of a notion out who will win, but
for the sake of an interest I’m chancing DUFNER and SNEDEKER at 11/1.

Better luck this week Darren :good:
