Hopefully delta Work gets beat carrying lumps of weight on Friday and drifts a bit as I will be extremely tempted to back him
He’s absolutely miles better than everything else in this when back off levels and basically just needs to jump around to win.
December 6, 2022 at 19:07 #1626074Jack you are comparing a unexposed novice with potential against an exposed chaser , I’m playing 6s as in my eyes that’s the value in that race , I’m backing Easyland as I’m getting 4s a place on prev c and d winner , he,s still a young horse who I thought travelled well for a while last time , his aim will be this and let’s be honest , when he won he beat tiger by 17 lengths …. Delta didn’t , also had that GN run with all that weight left a mark … Let’s see
December 8, 2022 at 13:26 #1626230I am yes- i am comparing prices. It’s possible to do?
you are taking 6s on a horse who is completely unknown won a maiden hurdle….with a raft of unknown horses in the market. A grade 1 winner from Sunday at a bigger price.
I am talking about a horse thats been G1 level, and has run a x-c great very close. 21ls ahead of the rest.
Another factor, the x-c is now called off, that narrows down any new challengers chances of getting chelt x-c race experience down to zero.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!December 8, 2022 at 21:08 #1626271Jack you seem to base most of your best of hcap marks ….I don’t , I look at a number of things , I’ve already explained why I’ve made that bet , as for gaining experience , Delta had none didn’t stop him winning one , you can’t see past Delta , that’s fair enough , that first run set puts me off , most people on here couldn’t see APT being beaten in the Betfair … Stats told me could …and he was
December 8, 2022 at 21:42 #1626278hcap marks? You’re the one who brought up the 2nds Irish rating…..i’m just telling you the UK rating….irish dont let runs in x-c affect standard chase marks….UK obviously do.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!December 8, 2022 at 21:53 #1626284Jack I brought it up as he,s just barely beaten a 80s rated chaser …. , I’ve made my point , you,ve made yours
December 8, 2022 at 22:11 #1626292I think your Uncle Chezza needs to step in to sort this one out, fellas.
We’re not a million miles away from the NRNB zone kicking in for these races and, though odds will tighten up, I’d far rather be on a horse at 6/4 NRNB than 2/1 pure ante-post as there’s still no Rule 4.
Plus there are times when you can’t have a bet on a point of general principle.
Backing a horse owned by a bloke so despicable he ran it to beat his own dual Grand National winner and who clearly sold his soul for a tank full of aviation fuel is marginally worse than PPR profiteering during a Pandemic.
That said, my favourite ever line in Only Fools And Horses came from Grandad who, when Del exclaimed: “You were gun running during the Spanish Civil War??!!” replied: “That’s the best time to do it, Del Boy.”

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"January 18, 2023 at 21:03 #1631481After getting rid of my bets on Samcro and Easysland, I’m on the verge of going with Samcro again.
Very tempted by the 14’s NRNB, and should know more on Monday. The Cross Country race from the lost December Meeting, is getting run on Trials Day, and I’m just holding back on Samcro just now, as just got a feeling we might see Galvin in the entries for that. If he did get an entry, he’d be the one for me definitely
January 23, 2023 at 00:06 #1631926Added Galvin 6-1 for now
January 23, 2023 at 05:10 #1631928Bobby I wouldn’t give up on Easyland , he has traveled really well in his races this season , I reckon he has a squeak
January 23, 2023 at 06:09 #1631930Oh yeah agree, it was the way he travelled at Haydock, that made me put him up. He’s coming along very nicely, and has a race in him.
All about Galvin for me though at the moment, for this and Aintree, and I’m probably just going to concentrate on him here for now, with Samcro maybe as backup.
Delta Work obviously the one to beat, but I’ve already bet him for Aintree at big odds, so if he won this, I’d claw a few quid back on him.
I can’t be backing anymore
Edit
Galvin 6’s
January 28, 2023 at 12:40 #1632550I haven’t backed anything yet but interested to see how Snow Leopardess goes today, though have just backed Diesel d’allier ew today
January 28, 2023 at 13:24 #1632559Nothing really to note apart from Minella times hated it
January 28, 2023 at 13:42 #1632583Lovely from Delta Work off a big weight.
March 13, 2023 at 02:35 #1638786Happy enough with Galvin here, while a nice win for Delta Work should pay for my National bets hopefully. That’s the plan anyway
The one I did keep going back to though was Gin On Lime. Couldn’t be as keen on him as I am Galvin, but I thought he was worth a backup bet at 20’s. Kept fresh since respectable run at Listowel, and could see him outrunning the odds
Edit – Should add that Mortal looks a huge price, and I just can’t leave him at 50’s. Having added him, I’ll look to lay back a bit of gin
Galvin 6’s
Gin On Lime 20’s
Mortal 50’s EW 4plsMarch 14, 2023 at 11:13 #1639020Venture, if I recall you have a fine record in this. I will follow you in with Mortal, as I know how much you like that horse a lot + he is a very tempting price
Good luck of course with Galvin, who I just knew that you wouldn’t desert
March 14, 2023 at 18:54 #1639255Lieutenant Rocco at 66s, each way.
