Always like an Antepost in this, and with Delta Work looking tough to beat here, he’s obviously a bit on the short side.
Seems a bit simplistic, but I’ve there a few quid the way of Samcro at 20’s.
Thought he ran ok at Aintree, and he’s been running ok by the look of things in points recently. Meeting looks as if it won’t survive the weather next week, but he’s at least entered at Cheltenham.
Still think Escaria Ten will end up here one day, but for now, Delta Work the obvious one, and Samcro worth a go at the odds. It’s also worth noting how disappointing Galvin was at Down Royal. It’s not out of the question that he could yet go this route
I thought that Easysland showed a glimmer of promise last time, and if Jonjo could get to the bottom of him, then 33’s is big.
Edit – Easysland the forgotten about horse then, but I spotted signs of recovery at Haydock last time, and added him 33’s today, so I’ll no complain if he wins here without my cash on him.
If he can get him back properly, might just see him at Aintree too
Easysland 33’s
Samcro 20’sBoth now cashed out
December 4, 2022 at 07:06 #1625728Delta Work 2-1
December 4, 2022 at 11:41 #1625746Delta work made real work beating a 80s rated chaser last time , at the price I wouldn’t want to touch him , no doubt he’ll strip a lot fitter in future but that really wasn’t any type of form
December 4, 2022 at 12:12 #1625750Delta Work is the banker of the week isn’t he?
December 4, 2022 at 12:22 #1625752I would hope so.
December 4, 2022 at 12:52 #1625765Did you watch his last run ?… I’m with Bobby Easyland travelled well last time then blew up , they talked about running in a GC at one point , if they can bring him back he could be nice e.w value
December 4, 2022 at 13:15 #1625773I don’t imagine first time out was an anywhere near peak performance from Delta Work.
December 4, 2022 at 14:41 #1625800True Mike ….but a 80 rated chaser ?
December 4, 2022 at 14:52 #1625809Doesn’t matter to me atm. The 2nd ran a career best and the second favourite and third favourite nowhere. Tiger Roll had form figures of 6P6 before he won his last one.
December 4, 2022 at 16:30 #1625830He did Mike but those results weren’t against exposed 80s rated chasers
December 5, 2022 at 04:32 #1625896Most of them weren’t 80s chasers. You are using the 2nd as a whip to beat him with on his 1st run back. It’s March what counts. Feel free to tell us which horse or horses will beat Delta Work in March ;o)
December 5, 2022 at 09:25 #1625906Is there a possibility Galvin is rerouted here? Perhaps as a prep for National

HDLG, the third was 137?
Add to the Sizing Banjo is an English 137 chaser? Who beat the 3rd and the 4th from the 2021 renewal in the November X-C race last year?
His last 4 banks runs at Punchestown read 4211 before the defeat? Clearly likes Punchestown.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!December 5, 2022 at 10:30 #1625911Ponti, I think there’s only an outside chance, and he would probably have to put in a similar performance in The Savills, as he did at Down Royal, for it to be considered. This year.
He was my long term fancy for this last year, and I think he’ll run in this one day, but as I said I’d be surprised if it was this year
December 5, 2022 at 11:37 #1625927Surely Gordon Elliot follows, and primes Delta Work towards achieving the same outcome as last year as he did with Tiger Roll previously.
Delta Work 5/2 Ante-post
December 6, 2022 at 05:35 #1626003Jack/Mike is the 2nd now a 130+ rated horse then … I’ll go the other 2 ran well below there rating , I’m not saying he can’t win its just that he,s not value , if you read above Mike I’ve stated I like Easyland and I played last night , 20s gives 4s the place , that seems better in my eyes
December 6, 2022 at 09:46 #1626011HDLG, well in England yes he is….it’s a fact check the handicapper site.
Delta Work didn’t run right up to form, do you expect him to on his season reappearance though, when Elliot’s been vocal + said his horses are being trained differently to peak later?
The value question is pretty much the problem with every single horse that’s won a race already this season. Bookies are opening their prices shorter and still managing to cut them regardless of how they win.
As for Foxy Jacks i’d say they are delighted with his first run round the banks course. He’s got his quirks and he’s shown some proper promise there. He’d be much more a Punchestown banks horse for me to punt than a Chelt one though, as he’s better right handed.
You’ve put Jet Powered in a Lucky. At 6/1 (i think from memory)….is that really value having won a maiden hurdle? Nope let’s be real. He’s got an RPR of 129 for it…At 2/1 Delta or 6/1 Jet Powered, going on what we know. I’d be with DW all day.
