…for the sheer professionalism of all connected to Timeteam.
Drifting from 3.80-ish to 11.00, missing the break losing 8 lengths at the start
and never better than last. Excellent work all round.Let’s hope the BHA are equally as professional should they choose to investigate this – but let’s not hold our breath.
For the record: I’m not one to normally complain about this sort of thing as I view it as part of the game – but this was breathtaking
January 22, 2010 at 15:08 #271423AAh the joys of playing at leafy , my friend if you bet on this stuff you can expect anythin ……except winning
stay away from it , watch it occasionally and watch in amazement as the horror show is enacted , and be thankful you are not involved

January 22, 2010 at 15:21 #271427I can only imagine Charlotte Kerton was injured in the stalls incident, as she seemed to have restricted mobility in the race itself.

Horse missed the break, END OFF – nothing malicious and you cant prove there was either nor will the BHA.

January 22, 2010 at 15:36 #271433Look guys, in case you were unaware, a horse has FOUR legs so the chances are that when the stalls open 75% of the time it’s going to be on the wrong one! Why blame the jockeys when it could just be a case of the horse not realising that it’s favourite and needs to jump off quickly?

(On behalf of Tony C.)January 22, 2010 at 16:14 #271442The RP live reporter suggested that there was no official enquiry, although an hour or so later ATR suggested that they may have risen from their slumbers, before Cooper quickly changed the subject.
Sadly, I imagine that will be the END OFF (sic) the matter for The Rabble.
Some say we are back to the days of Red Lancer. The reality is, in fact, much worse. At least Red Lancer was investigated.
January 22, 2010 at 17:55 #271471Glen , dont hold your breath , our funding is based on losing punters , so nobody is going to say a word , its just another loser to swell the plc coffers of the bookies of which racing gets a slice
Its a shame that the aw antics go unoticed but its the norm now , so best thing to do is ignore it
cheers

Thats 2 posts i have read of yours today, regarding the all weather and they are both bang on!Well said!
February 3, 2010 at 10:55 #273741Good Evans! Someone liked what they saw that day and claimed the beast.
Interestingly, David Evans has opted for perhaps the only jockey at Kempton tonight who probably can’t do the weight to take the ride!
Will the Evans boy do the weight? Will a late replacement be parachuted in? Will any of this be communicated to the betting public before Timeteam departs the stalls at a respectable distance form the others? Stay tuned – same bat time, same bat channel…………
February 3, 2010 at 11:46 #273752Lost ten lengths at the start and beaten eight lengths by Peopleton Brook. Does that suggest it should have won by two lengths? Or is it a hold-up horse?
KFebruary 3, 2010 at 17:35 #273813Good Evans! It just makes the frame despite Richard Evans seeming to ease up close home. Looks like those laying it at almost its early win price in the place market will have to payout.

Which race was this?
February 3, 2010 at 20:34 #273842Worth checking out http://www.emiratesracing.com. Go to Media Centre and then click on Akbar Al Khail (their Racing Calendar). Amongst the various notices and handicap mark changes you’ll see the stewards reports on each race.
All very detailed about each race – certainly give the impression they are paying attention and happy to give out penalties for errant stalls behaviour etc.
April 16, 2010 at 18:10 #290657Charlotte Kerton to the stewards room please. Valmari – 7.00 Kempton.
April 16, 2010 at 20:04 #290685When are the BHA going to stop tollerating this comedy act? Prodromou is a joke.

I gave up backing horses a long time ago.
I wont comment about this instance but in horse racing it certainly does seem like there is never smoke without fire.
Simply cannot bet on the sport
April 20, 2011 at 17:49 #351277….according to Greg Wood (Gaurdian website) the BHA are now in a position to consider whether to bring charges over this incident.
