Honest and reputable as far as paying out goes and backed by several shops in the north-west. The on-course operation caused great amusement when they turned up at Ludlow with a sign reading "No trade, no fractions, no workmen".
They’ve a front line joint in Tatts at York (and Donny too IIRC) and have had a shop at the top of Micklegate in the city for several years now. Gets plenty of raceday trade being near the railway station and surrounded by pubs.
I’ve struck bets with them at the track and have found them both polite and accomodating.
edit:
Have an idea they bought Maurice Lindsay’s pitches
I notice BGBet, Casinoredbet & Scotbet (Kenny Waugh?) have identical software, markets and prices to Corbett. What’s the nature of their affliation with each other, who’s running it for them?
In the days when I used to use Bookmakers’ "fixed-odds" soccer coupons, Corbetts always used the same coupon(prices) that most smaller independent businesses used, one assumes because they were too small to employ their own odds-compilers / printers etc. ie It was cheaper. I assume the same applies to their website/software. It’s cheaper to get a 3rd party that specialises in that thing to do it for them.
The Corbett family always used to have a stand at Chester greyhounds (long since gone) and would take substantial bets there, especially if you were a regular. Ditto at Chester racecourse.
I don’t think the initial poster will have any problems with this company.
