Priced up with only two firms from what I see.

Kitty’s light would be the obvious starting point for me. Christian Williams has ran him over hurdles once already this season and is entered in the 2m 5f class 2 hurdle at kempton in a couple of weeks which seems to be the tune up race before being sent for the big one.

I’ll be there for it and looking through the market there’s half a dozen or more savers I could have on other dour stayers.

Royal pagaille seems a tailor made type and then you’ve got 2 or 3 others who you know are going to give you a run for your money.

Le Milo’s, the galloping bear and major Dundee will all be carrying varying stakes of my hard earned.

3 and half miles, heavy ground, big galloping track under harsh weather shaking off boxing days festivities. It’s the highlight of Xmas for me! :yahoo:

I haven’t bet him, as I wouldn’t be keen before the entry stage, but I would be interested in last years runner up The Big Breakaway

Thought Major Dundee ran a very nice prep yesterday so, although I don’t think he’ll win it, it’s hard to see him finishing out of the frame.

    Entries………

He’s been running over points, but at least I know he’s still in working order, so Screaming Colours for me. This was always the plan for him, but he’s not got there the last two years. Have to be with him at current odds

    Others on the shortlist………

    Cloudy Glen 66’s
    Coopers Cross 33’s
    Dom of Mary 66’s
    Placenet 100’s

Surprised to not see kitty’s light In there. Luckily I’d not dipped my toe yet.

Of those guaranteed to get a run id be with Highland Hunter as my first choice. I backed him the day of Cheltenhams October meeting as he was the only runner on the card at Kelso for Paddy Brennan and Fergal o’Brien and he was unlucky not to win on his first run for nearly two years. He looked a stayer all day that day and he’s surely on a good mark!

Major Dundee and Pats fancy are others who are guaranteed to get a run who I could back now.

Galloping bear and Silver in disguise ones to wait for the final decs on.

    Can’t wait!!

Major Dundee (who I quite like for this) not been confirmed proper yet. Trainer only mentioned Coral Gold Cup and that Warwick chase so far.

I’d be surprised if he’s not being aimed at this Mike given he won the midlands national earlier in the year.

I’ve seen enough of Iwilldoit to think he is going to play a big hand in this again. Might find one or two go by but wouldn’t entirely surprise if they didn’t. Thomas has definitely started buying his carrots from Waitrose rather than Aldi.

One that didn’t run great in the same race as Monbeg Genius at Ascot was Mucho Mas. Something about him intrigues me over this sort of trip. It might be that it would have to be on goodish ground though, which seems unlikely. Perhaps a Midlands if we get a good Spring.

Going to be interesting to watch those McNeil horses now they don’t have a retained rider. Thunder Rock looked a different horse the other week.

Could be a double blow this if Dom of Mary doesn’t run well today, but I’ve added him here too

Didero Vallis ran really well for me the other day, and was tempted to add here at 100’s, but can’t possibly be having three Antepost

Farinet is my early bet at 50-1, and I’ll have a more substantial bet on the day.

I can’t see him going twice round Chepstow without Jonjo Jr making some kind of error on him.

There’s a cut off stage tomorrow, and if Dunboyne survives that, I’ll have a bet on him.

I thought that he ran very well at Navan last time
