Alright chaps,
Just wondering if when attending the races or looking on TV there are any outside the box or basic ways to judge the condition of a horse?
I’ve just recently finished a bit of an abomination of a book called Paddock Specialist by a Mr Ruane. Some golden nuggets in there but a lot of the time he’s warbling on about basics that even someone who’s never seen a horse in their life before would know.
Are horses like humans in the sense that they have big dips in mood and the like or do you think they’re pretty similar most times they attend the racecourse? Had a brief look through the forum and noticed that people gave some excellent reasons as to why they thought horses knew when they had won a race and that triggered this.
Maybe people with experience with the animals can give some ideas on this front? Have you encountered any bipolar horses or one’s that aren’t quite all there in the head?
Thanks a lot,
Sass

I’ll find it for you over the weekend mate. You don’t have to go too far back in the forum to find it as I recall. You backed anything this weekend and anymore thoughts on the above?
All the best,
Sass
