Of all his runners today, the one I’d be most interested in is Mr Ironman, intended as a chasing prospect when with Guesty but removed from him by owner Jim White over the winter after a few rotten performances in novices’ / maiden hurdles.
Fantastic call mate.
October 10, 2007 at 14:55 #118877Ooh, a rare triumph!
I need hardly add, by the way, that I didn’t have a single bloody cent on it, having been completely indisposed reconfiguring a customer’s UNIX server as part of my Proper Job all day. Arsington sodmonster.

October 10, 2007 at 15:23 #118884Much the funniest outcome of the win by Mr Ironman was that Twister was called in by the stewards to explain his improvement.
I wonder if he laughed it off or was insulted that the stewards didn’t rate him a better trainer than R Guest!

October 12, 2007 at 12:48 #119165Looks a good card tomorrow with the reappearance of the useful ex Swinbank bumper horse Theatrical Moment as well as Franchoek in the juvenile hurdle.
Really interesting renewal of the 4 year old hurdle with an intreresting recruit for Paul Nicholls (Gwanako) taking on the likes of Liberate and European Dream.October 13, 2007 at 15:50 #119334Disappointing run from Theatrical Moment but pleased to see Franchoek back on track and a taking display from Gwanako also.
October 13, 2007 at 22:08 #119373pleased to see Franchoek back on track
After giving him a kicking on another forum following his Rasen debut, I’m bloody not!

October 13, 2007 at 22:19 #119375I must admit I was thinking as a stayer on the flat he may struggle over 2 miles over hurdles (especially after his run at Rasen) but hoped that it was just the track that hadn’t suited him on debut.
That appeared to be the case and he jumped a lot more fluently today as well. - AuthorPosts
