Here are the results of the system for the past 9 years meetings.

2010 – 4 winners = +44
2009 – 1 winner = -23
2008 – 5 winners = +19
2007 – 2 winners = -4.5
2006 – 3 winners = +55.5
2005 – 3 winners = -3.5
2004 – 3 winners = -10
2003 – 2 winners = -5
2002 – 2 winners = -2

Total = +70.5

Unfortunately the database I was using only has information going back this far but I think the results are certainly interesting…

I researched the results AFTER I had the idea last year.

The system is thus:
Choose the horse with the best form figure last time out (usually 1) but the WORST form figure previous to that.
If you have joint selections choose the horse with the BEST form prior to the WORST form…

For example if 2 horses are 2 7 1 and 1 7 1 the horse with 1 7 1 would be the selection.

Its pretty simple really and goes on the logic that horses with these particular form figures will have improved better from their previous runs more than any other horse in the race.

Be interesting to see how it does this year.
