Don’t know about anyone else but I found this the hardest festival ever to find likely winners or decent e/w bets; other than the shorties. Ended up with just 2 bets, Cue Card 13/2 in the Rynair and le Prezien 11/1 in the JH chase, whereas normally I’d have 6 to 8. Anyone else in this boat?
A good jockey doesn't need orders and a bad jockey couldn't carry them out; so it's best not to give them any.
March 18, 2018 at 15:21 #1347476Had a terrible festival myself orabist! Did more punting than you but found as many winners lol, though did do all of my antepost bets with horses that would improve for better ground.
Though my on the day betting was poor as well, just a terrible festival for myself!
Little things like wanting to back BDD for the Ryanair but then not backing her when she went to the mares. Also one that annoyed me was a couple of months back there was that race in Ireland where Penhill was going to have his comeback run (but was withdrawn not long before the off). I literally had the odds and stake selected to back Penhill for the Stayers antepost (if I remember correctly I’d selected £30 and 10s) and was about to click ‘bet’ or whatever it says on the exchange when I hear on the live stream that Penhill had been pulled out of the race that day, thought to myself ‘well if he’s not ready for his comeback run he’ll never be 100% for the festival in March’ and this deselected the bet and backed some other no-hopers in the stayers antepost :D
lol.
