    On the BHA website they’re saying only 2mm of rain overnight and that the ground is good/soft soft places on both the Old Course and x/country. Bearing in mind that the x/country has been softer than the Old Course all week that sounds a bit unbelievable

    Sorry if this is a stupid question, but why did they water the course last week, if rain was forecast? It seems that now the course is softer than hoped for? Is it in case no rain arrives, as they wouldn’t then have time to water the course to the desired effect?

    Good to soft ,soft in places , not much rain forcast if any today, i just hope they are telling the truth 8)

    Was raining early hours on and off not hard when I went to bed – got woken up just now as it was tonking it down :shock: .. Eased off now but its not going to take much of that to change the going if it hasnt already 8)
