“Chezza you ever thought about doing I’m a celebrity ? , chewing bollocks rather than talking ….. Sorry couldn’t resist”

Chezza was rather under the impression that, in order to appear on the Show, one had to be a celebrity.

Chezza has been repeatedly assured of late that Chezza is only a celebrity in Chezza’s head and even there popularity is waning.

Chezza’s having none of it, of course – none more famous (or infamous) – but in truth Chezza likes the Show about as much as Chezza likes the idea of eating insects.

If the Show ever relocated to a biscuit factory, Chezza might be interested – but be warned: Chezza doesn’t work cheap (or at all).

Taken Edwardstone 20/1 ew for next years champion chase

Very hard to do any of the novice chases as no idea what Constitution Hill will do or what races Mullins will send the likes of Impaire et Passe to

If Constitution Hill goes chasing with any other trainer bar Hendo you could be sure they would skip the novice campaign but with Hendo it wouldn’t surprise me if he turned up in the London marathon

I like Edwardstone but he will be 10 next year. Perhaps we have seen the best of him?

His full sister won over hurdles at Fakenham on Gold Cup day.

Glad, i get the point, but what state mans done and who hes beaten has earned him a high 160s rating currently and in all fairness, he “easily” kept 2nd behind CH, there was no need to go after CH he wasnt getting there, CH definitely stands alone, but it would be nailed on he goes to the arkle next season,

The form sais state man is a low 170 hurdler, which puts him in the high class bracket wether you agree or not or overrate him or not, thats fair to have the opinion but the facts say otherwise, the distance he put between all the horses youv named (who are all 150ish hurdlers) is the distance CH put between himself and SM, by no means is SM an elite hurdler, but he’s as high class as weve had in recent years and its good for constituion hill that he’s about

As he’ll likely win the CH next year… assuming CH goes the way there talking

“The form sais state man is a low 170 hurdler”

Yeah- so low he’s a 165. At best. There isn’t a single piece of actual form that merits 170.

“As he’ll likely win the CH next year…”

I’d fancy both Impaire and Marine against him, assuming they stay over hurdles.

At her best, or when finishing just ahead of the mighty Vauban and Pied Piper at the DRF?

    Current.

    Pied Piper ran a massive race off 154 considering he’s a 5yo.

    “Current”

On her Mares’ Hurdle win, she’s 155. But she didn’t run to that in the Irish Champion Hurdle; HDB always has her at her peak for Cheltenham, as her record consistently shows.

HDLG- Pied is a decent horse but he’s just won a couple of egg-and-spoon races this season and, though he ran well, was still beaten off 154 last week.

Anyway, I’m not going to sit here arguing with you guys all night; I believe State Man is a very good horse but not a 170 one. And either (or both of) Impaire Et Passe and/or Marine Nationale will probably improve past him next season. In my opinion.

Glad the jockey wasn’t fit enough to ride him out , maybe there some leverage in that mark , watch the race and the way he travelled

Would it seem logical that Impairre et Passe goes to the arkle? He seems very speedy and seems more of a champion chase horse than a gold cup one. On the contrary, Facile Vega obviously not the speediest 2mile hurdler around so can see Willie thinking it’d be wise to step him up in trip and target the 2 and a half mile novice chase at Cheltenham next year.
