“Who do you think you’re dealing with here? Chezza?”
Of all the MANY oblique, not so oblique, and downright direct insults Gladders has hurled in Chezza’s direction over the years, this has to be one of the very finest.
Even when Chezza’s not the subject of the conversation, Chezza becomes the subject of the conversation.
Narcissist nirvana.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"March 14, 2023 at 08:13 #1638986I don’t think I’ve backed a horse as short so far out, but the Arkle is one of my favourite races and Willie thinks Facile Vega is Douvan Mk2 so I took the 10s, and also put him in a double with Impaire et Passe for the Turners.
March 14, 2023 at 08:25 #1638988Trouble is, GAG, that Constitution Hill may well be lining up in one of next year’s novice chases.
March 14, 2023 at 08:35 #1638989CH might be in a novice chase, but I remember Dawn Run a big thing for the Gold Cup after she won the 1986 version but she never made it. I never do any bets so far out.

I want a fiver for it now…

March 16, 2023 at 17:12 #1639964I know one thing for sure, next year I’m not going to be bothering with getting stuck in with any lumpy bets on any of the shorties.
The racing is too competitive to be risking decent money for modest roi’s!
I’ve had my fingers burnt on Luccia today and that’s the last time I go in at short odds in 20+ runner races in top class company where every horse is trained to the minute and busting a gut!
March 17, 2023 at 18:06 #1640306My first bet for Cheltenham 2024 is Stage Star, 20s ew in the Gold Cup.

March 17, 2023 at 18:22 #1640314Is Shiskin a play for the GC , I really can’t get out of my head how he was off the bit so early , smashed a fence to bits then still got 2nd yesterday , also APT looks finished at the top level will they have a go with Allaho ?
March 17, 2023 at 18:38 #1640324Both too old and unsound.
March 17, 2023 at 18:43 #1640326I could not back Shishkin for anything now. He is too unreliable.
It is a pity because I was a huge fan of him after his Supreme win and his novice chase season. But he will be 10 next year and is difficult to see him winning at Cheltenham again, especially with Galopin Des Champs around in the Gold Cup.
March 17, 2023 at 19:00 #1640333On pure ability Shishkin has a chance and I think he will stay the GC trip. If he does not make the GC I don’t think he’ll run.
March 17, 2023 at 20:00 #1640360I think the Bowl will tell all
March 17, 2023 at 20:35 #16403728/1 Lossiemouth for the mares hurdle
Still has masses of potential considering how strong she was tanking along, when she learns to switch off a bit can be even better.Blackbeard to conquer the World
March 18, 2023 at 09:01 #1640439Added El Fabiolo at 4s in the Champion Chase and Stay Away Fay at 16s ew in the Brown Advisory/ex-RSA.

March 18, 2023 at 09:21 #1640440Shishkin for The Gold Cup? Really? I’m struggling to see any evidence from the last twelve months that he should even be mentioned for it. He’s just not as good as people want him to be. Even if he did win The Bowl, which is a possibility, I couldn’t have him at all for The Gold Cup.
I’d rather bet that 8-1 for Lossiemouth which Nathan mentions
