I just wonder if it’s good to have two like-Arc meetings separated by only two weeks. What is interesting with the Arc is that its huge purses and its reputation can gather horses from all over the world. So, if we have the same meeting two weeks later in UK with the same gound conditions, local horses will tend to compete in their respective country. And that is quite disappointed for the horse racing fans that we are. Just imagine a champion stakes with SYT, WF, SNA, SF… and in the other side an Arc with Sarafina, Galikikova, Meandre…Kind of déjà vu feeling?
So, why not setting up another date for the champions’ day? Or for the Arc?September 30, 2011 at 20:50 #372580

Why not just scrap the bogus
Champions Day
? Simpler and far more effective in restoring rationality and decent temporal spacing to the European Pattern.
(Might as well get this in now as later!)

I think I’ll wait and see the first one before I damn the whole thing.
Y’know people called the first football World Cup names before it even started too.
