Moody, The Fighting Fifth wasn’t lost. Not So Sleepy won it at Sandown on 9th December. That’d be a bit too close to Christmas for CH to run in both though.
My only issue with Henderson is that he hasn’t brought the Horse over to Leopardstown to beat State Man on home soil. We deserve to see him in the flesh also. Henrietta Knight brought Best Mate over. Nicholls brought Kauto and Denman over. Hendo himself brought Sprinter over.

Maybe they shouldn’t have named him after a prison, seems destined to be kept locked up

If Lossiemouth was with a different stable, surely she’d be going for this now

I don’t think Lossiemouth being the same trainer is an issue, remember when Faugheen missed the Champion Hurdle late on and they still had Nichols Canyon in the race who’d beaten him in the Morgiana earlier that season I think? They still went ahead and supplemented Annie Power and that wasn’t Rich Ricci’s idea, it was suggested to him by Ruby and Willie. Basically if they thought Lossiemouth could beat State Man they’d keep her in it but they know at this stage of her career its a big ask. She’s only beat Love Envoi, First Street, Rubaud and Guard Your Dreams in open company and she was getting weight off all of them, its miles off State Man.

At the end of the day CH is race fit , they could scope him next week and he might well be clean , if he doesn’t turn up the Mullins has another grade 1

It will be disappointing if Constitution Hill doesn’t run as he’s the (much needed) poster boy of jump racing. The race won’t be any better for him not turning up either as State Man will dot up. There is something quite enjoyable about the cotton wool approach blowing up in connections faces, though.

Hes not the much needed poster boy, hes the problem, 80% of this seasons talk has revolved around this horses running not running running not runnong, state man deserves this, id love for nothing more than CH to scope clean, run, not be at his best and state man beats him

And MM if he was trained by mullins hed have won the morgiana the mathieson and the irish champ, 4 may have been a slight exaggeration, but the reality is it would have been at minimum 3

If there is a virus in the Henderson yard then it’s another blow to the British winners no , whatd Nicholls going to win with ? , Skelton will prob win a handicap …. He might be a frustrating bugger but he’s the only brit able to go head to head with Mullins

Constitution Hill is not coming to the party.

Effectively, all that’s happened is a 1/4 has been replaced by 1/3 shot.

Very likely it’s not going to be much of a spectacle.

Lossiemouth should run, but won’t. Irish Point may run, but his optimum is probably 2m4f. It’s a very uncompetitive division.

That puts my Constitution Hill/El Fabiolo double down the plughole.
Have a State Man win/El Fabiolo win/Lossiemouth to place treble free bet nrnb to fall back on.

Leaves plenty of choice for an E/W runner at decent prices. Just need to find the right one

This looks like a penalty kick without a goalkeeper for State Man now. The next in the betting was being trained for the Stayers Hurdle and the next are the likes of Not So Sleepy and Pied Piper.

There is one viable contender and she would be receiving 7lbs – but she is running 40 minutes later.

Let’s hope it’s not in the style of Harry Kane were it went sky high.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

It’s going to be the worst Champion Hurdle in my memory; State Man is a grand horse, but is the best of a pretty average bunch……
