Epatante a solid e/w play here at 10s, been there and done it and gets the mares allowance as well.

Zero chance of reversing form with Honeysuckle but if something goes wrong before or during the race with that (god forbid) then you have a nice bet. it should place top 3 worst case and you have a small profit.

the field cut up to 6/7 runners

I know trainer form has a habit of changing immediately Cheltenham starts – for some reason especially so with Irish trainers. But Henry De Bromhead doesn’t look in good form going in to the Festival. Honeysuckle has so much in hand on her form that is still the most likely winner (still should be odds-on) but must be a doubt whether she’ll be able to run to her very best… And as such is imo currently much too short.

Saint Roi was my early Hope last year, but never got around to betting him. I really liked him for The County, but he’s coming here.

Work to do obviously, but I had an early shrewd bet at the 25’s NRNB. I’m definitely happy to have more on now that he’s 80’s. Think I can at least get a run for my money here.

The unexposed horse is adagio , if he comes on for the run with the tongue tie on he could run into a place , that run in the greatwood off top weight was a hell of a run from a young horse , the fact that there here instead of a hcap tells you they think he has a e.w chance

All in on the each way angle and I’ll be backing Adagio and Teahupoo to go with my Tommy’s Oscar bet.

HDLG, with his rating of 152 Adagio would have been joint top-weight in the County. I think it’s easier to finish 3rd or 4th in the CH and get more prize-money instead of running in a 22-runner field with less cash.

There,s a few in the same boat Ruby , Id have expected the hcap route as they know he can handle weight , that run with Goshen was a lovely prep , while I’d love Tommy’s Oscar to run a big race his form doest stack up , the rest are exposed bar Mullins horse but first time out you,d have to take him on , out of Elliott’s 2 zanahyir is in my eyes is the better horse , headgear on to , teahupoo has been winning on heavy in the 140s , epanante isn’t as good as she was , Adagio gave Goshen 7lbs last time , if Goshen is still a mid 150s horse then it puts him right in the mix here with prob improvement to come , he also handles Cheltenham

    E.w Adagio

Surely the bookies don’t want to take her on …

Anything odds against or even a shade of odds on is a gift.

The bookies do not mind treating this race as a loss leader. They have over 3 days of racing to get it all back with interest.

Shes grand and you can’t knock 100% record but I maintain what I’ve said previously which is that behind her you have 160 horses who wouldn’t have placed in previous years champion hurdles. If she wasnt in the division the rest would take turns beating each other. New opposition today all faltered, left to beat what shes beaten before in reciept of weight. Epatantes run grand but probably no better than last year.

Epatante ran better than last year. Nicky maintained she was better this season.
