Appreciate It at 7-1 for me. He’s the winner if Honeysuckle doesn’t get there.
January 1, 2022 at 16:05 #1576023I think that I’ll add that 7/1 myself Silver Spoon. It’s not really an ew price ap, so it will be win only.
January 6, 2022 at 13:47 #1576743I’ve had an ew bet on Teahupoo, though it’s surely playing for a place only, given the fact that Honeysuckle is so strong. I’ve taken 14-1 ew nrnb
January 20, 2022 at 19:50 #1578904Tommy’s Oscar 55/1 for a little each way fun
January 25, 2022 at 21:41 #1579862Appreciate It has the form in the book to serve it right up to Honeysuckle.
Unfortunately, what we don’t know, is how fit Appreciate It is. If he shows up for the Irish Champion Hurdle and wins or runs Honeysuckle close, then odds of 8/1 for the CH, are going to look very generous indeed!
January 25, 2022 at 23:34 #1579875Honeysuckle looks as solid as anything at the meeting.
started doing her in a few multiplesEpatante 10’s along with Energumene (QMCC) and Champ (Stayers) NRNB Each Way treble has tempted me though

January 25, 2022 at 23:39 #1579876If anything were to happen to Honeysuckle might be worth a novice or two entering the picture.

January 25, 2022 at 23:58 #1579879Well Henderson has a couple of really good 2 mile novice hurdlers. One here one Supreme?
But I suppose that would only happen if Epatante was an absentee too.
One of the Mullins duo of Dysart Dynamo or Sir Gerhard?
Although the Ballymore would be more likely for one.
Mullins actually has four at 20/1 or less for the opener.
Champion for a novice doesn’t seem something Mullins would think of doing though.Just seems of all years this might be the time to try a novice.
Value Is EverythingJanuary 26, 2022 at 08:28 #1579899My Mate Mozzie has an entry GT for those reasons. probably runs at the DRF beforehand.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 26, 2022 at 08:41 #1579900“Just seems of all years this might be the time to try a novice.”
Why? Just so it can finish a distant second to Honeysuckle, at best?
January 26, 2022 at 10:34 #1579908Nah no novice from the mullins yard will be coming here IMO, if honeysuckle was a NR and somehow also appreciate it was a NR he would just win it with sharjah… and if sharjah went Id say theres more chance blue lord would come back than a novice coming should all the above happen
January 26, 2022 at 11:34 #1579915I couldn’t have Appreciate It as things stand.
His advantage in previous years was running against younger horses as a 6 year old in the bumper and a 7 year old as a novice.
Last years Supreme must be one of the worst ever as well.
Currently rated 160, he has to improve again as an 8 year old to get near Sharjah, let alone Honeysuckle.
He does have Cheltenham form in his favour and it is a terrible race barring a couple of them so you can make a case for a place bet but you would have to get on now as if he runs any sort of race at the DRF he won’t be an e/w price anymore.
Of course if he bolts up in the Irish CH then please ignore all the above!
January 26, 2022 at 12:18 #1579920Is appreciate it even going to run?
It’d have to be doubtful at this stage
I know he’s entered at the DRF but we have no idea if he’s definitely ready to run
January 29, 2022 at 02:20 #1580293Saint Roi was my long term fancy last year, and for all I was happy that I didn’t end up betting him, I was still disappointed that he didn’t back up my shout for him.
I’d have happily taken 25’s NRNB at the start of last season, so with a promising comeback behind him, I’ll go with the NRNB angle this time, for all Honeysuckle looks Rick solid. I actually think he’d also be a possible for The County, and I’d definitely consider him for him that too.
Saint Roi 25’s EW NRNB
January 30, 2022 at 02:31 #1580590Look out for Saint Felicien racing today 1.40 Naas, around 28/1 for the Champion Hurdle. I’m sure some bookies won’t be quick enough to react if the horse wins so could be worth watching the race and being ready to hit the ante post ew bet if it wins impressively. Looks the type that has the ability to come on a ton for its debut for Gordon Elliot. Although I doubt anything beats Honeysuckle it looks open enough for the placings.
January 30, 2022 at 13:42 #1580663Saint Felicien race just off lets see if it wins well
